So I think meeting new people is completely ruined for me. Like i’ll have a friend for a long time or i’ll meet someone I'm Interested in and the one thing they all have in common is that they end ugly and typically turn to no contact. I'm not gonna act innocent like I don't make choices down the line that probably helped to push it in this direction but I'm usually the last person to cut all contact first with these people, I try to at least give them chances (like if there was a disagreement) because I don't have a super close circle and I've been trying to find people that will stick around. I don’t feel as though they make the same effort. It's at the point where it feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy. So now when I meet someone new, i’m just assuming it'll end like the others and I don't even wanna give it another go. I honestly thought these kinds of things were supposed to get easier when you get older but this shit has me feeling like a teenager again and I fucking hate it.

What's the point of asking someone for advice if you won't take said advice? Just don't bring it up then?
