This is actually one of my favourite kind of fics, they a bit hard to find but here’s a list:

The Hunter and the Bookworm: (21,934 words, explicit). Beauty and the Beast supernatural style.

The Prettiest Star: (1,915 words, teen+). Stardust Supernatural style.

A Fire Ever Burning: (16,543 words, explicit). Sam and Dean are dragon riders. 

Fathoms Below: (13,548 words, teen+). Sam is the son of Triton and has a task of guarding the oceans and all he has ever done is dream of the human world, one day he saves Dean and there is an instant connection. The little mermaid Supernatural style. 

Embrace of the Dragon: (6,141 words, mature). Dean gets given a dragon and finds out that it is all a lot more than an offering. 

a lie the size of the sky: (12,656 words, teen+). His Darker Materials (although you will probably only know it was “The Golden Compass”) Supernatural style. 

We’ve gotten a few genderswap asks, and I’m kinda embarrassed of the number fics I had saved. (And I am very grateful to have someone qualified to recommend good genderswap!).  Since one ask wanted just Sam as a girl, I’ve indicated who it is that gets changed.

With Hips Kind of Swivelly and Swervy (25,000+ words, NC-17, girl!Sam). Dean pisses off a witch, but it’s Sam who gets whammied because of it. Full of humor, with just the right amount of angst. 

The Adventures of Dean Winchester and His Incredible Shrinking Penis (4764 words, NC-17, girl!Dean). As the title implies this is pure crack of the best kind, with some uncomfortable Bobby thrown right in. 

Stop me if you’ve heard this one( about 5,000 words, NC-17, girl!Sam). Sam gets hit with a curse from a sex demon…Different kind of genderswap. 

Smokin (5700 words, NC-17, girl!Dean). Dean gets whammied this time, and thoroughly enjoys it. Teasing Sam is just a bonus.

she’s a real time girl (in my imaginary world) (8,300 words, NC-17,both boys as girls). What would have happened if the Trickster zapped the boys into a different scene from Dean’s imagination? 

Round and Round (1,800 words, NC-17, girl!Dean, mentions of girl!Sam). Pure smut, literally 1,800 words of beautifully written porn.

Ready or Not (3,500 words, NC-17, girl!Sam). Sam gets marked by a satyr to become its breeding machine. Dean helps by de-virginizing him (er, her?) 

Radical Feminism (4,500 words, NC-17, girl!Dean). Dean gets cursed by a ghost and turns into a girl. He likes to tease Sam and Sam doesn’t like it one bit…except he totally does. 

Opportunistic Lover (6,500 words, NC-17, girl!Sam). Sam takes being a girl like most do…by going shopping and flirting with boys. Jealous and possessive Dean is hot. 

Notional (9,500 words, NC-17, girl!Dean). This version of Dean turning into a girl kinda reminds me of Taylor Swift. He likes vintage clothes, flowery skirts, and lots of boys (especially his brother).

Little White Flowers (3,000 words, NC-17, girl!Dean). Dean as a girl is a slut. But just for Sam, so I guess that’s okay.

How Am I Gonna Keep Myself Away From Me (5,000 words, NC-17, girl!Sam). Sam turns into a girl and Dean doesn’t handle it well. This probably has the most angst out of all of them, so be warned. 

Gender Studies (5,200 words, NC-17, girl!Sam). A curse gone wrong, Sam’s a girl, and now Dean has to find some way to keep that guy away from his brother (sister?)

Forged Anew (2,713 words, PG-13, girl!Sam). Summary: Sam gets turned into a girl, and if he wasn’t beating up every guy who looked at him funny, Dean would probably do it for him. 

Flood of Water (10,000 words, NC-17, girl!Dean). Dean turns into a girl and that makes it just a bit easier for Sam to admit he loves him (her?). Angsty and sweet, just the way I like ‘em. 

Faking It (1,400 words, NC-17, girl!Dean). How we all think Dean would react to being a girl, playing with all the different bits he gains. 

As We Are So Wonderfully Done With Each Other (18,700+ words, NC-17, girl!Sam). Sam is a girl and Dean has always been in love with his brother. Sam being this way, and needing him, just makes everything a little bit easier. 

Here are fics where Dean feels particularly guilty about desiring his younger brother.  Lots of incest angst, secret lusting and hidden pining.  Wonderful stuff:

Wishing For Rain (As I Stand in the Desert) (46,000 words, nc-17).  A rather new fic, which is wonderful and shows that there is no shortage of talent in this fandom.  An AU from season 1 on, where in Sam and Dean hook up and Dean freaks out.  All sorts of guilt and angst, and quite a lot of a separation.  I really enjoyed this story, and it took a lot of canon events and changed them in interesting ways.

Further North (2,700 words, nc-17).  This is a really nice foray into Dean’s mind, and it is filled with guilt and uncertainty about why he feels the way he does.  "Dean figures out he’s fuck in the head three weeks before his nineteenth birthday.  Seven years later, so does Sam.“

Gone Again (32,000 words, nc-17), and it’s prequel and it’s sequel.  A favourite fic of mine, full of angst and guilt from both of the boys, but most if it is through Dean’s perspective.  It takes place after the boys go too far, and then end up separating.  Has a nice case in it, too.

Rome Was Also Built on Ruins (15,300 words, nc-17).  The boys have been separated for a while (season 8 era), but Dean gets hurt and Sam has to take care of him.  This one is interesting, because Dean is in denial in a way that feels realistic to me.  There’s definitely some guilt, but it’s not super overwhelming here.  I do think it fits though.

Blame It On the Rain (5,100 words, nc-17) and it’s part of a series, Coyote (22,400 words, nc-17).  Sam is really drunk, and Dean can’t resist.  Lots of guilt.  And it’s very hot.

Break the lock if it don’t fit (7,200 words, pg).  A beautifully written fic.  Dean had he and Sam soul bonded out of necessity, but feels guilty about how strong his feelings are for Sam.  I love how Dean’s love for Sam is all-consuming in this one, and how badly he doesn’t want Sam to know it (and how horrified he is that now Sam does).  "Dean wondered if it were possible for Sam to just slip inside his skin, wondered if he’d be able to make himself small enough to fit Sam alongside his bones.”

Blow out the candles I still here them say (7,100 words, pg-13).  Sam is turning fifteen, and Dean is going to hell.  Lots of guilt, here.  Sam acts a little young for fifteen to me, so if you don’t like wee!cest this one may not be for you.

Fit A Skeleton Inside My Skin (8,400 words, nc-17).  Sam is just confused. It’s not an excuse Dean gets to use on himself.  Sam is 16 in this one, and it’s one of my favourite one-shot pre-series fics.  Very hot, and Dean spends a lot of time trying to resist.  And the boys spar in the rain at one point, which is just a lovely image.

The Ghost of Somebody At His Side (39,500 words, nc-17).  When Sam is 18, and Dean is drunk, they have sex.  Both boys blame themselves for it, and think they’ve done something wrong–so Sam goes to Stanford.  Tons of angst here, and lots of self-loathing from both boys.  A really nice fic, that brings us from pre-Stanford up to season one.  

I hope these fics work for you–the issue is that my idea of an accurate voice may not be the same as yours.  However, here are some fics where the boys’ voices ring particularly true to me.  

Sell Your Baseball Cards to Pay the Rent (4,700 words, R).  Sometimes you run into a five thousand word fic that embodies the characters far more than most stories with fifty thousand.  This is a favourite of mine, and the summary in my tags is actually just “Great Dean voice. They get into a fight, and need cash to get back the impala.”  That sums it up.

You’re My Blue Sky, You’re My Sunny Day (24,400 words, nc-17).  Set in season 6, after Sam gets his soul back but the wall is still up.  The boys’ voices are so spot-on that it feels like it could be an actual episode (lovely case fic), with slightly more sex (okay–a lot more sex).

The Lightning and the Thunder (21,600 words, nc-17).  An established-relationship case-fic where the boys go on vacation to Winchester Lake, only to find that there is something haunting the area.  I find that this author has a way of writing that really makes it feel like the boys are straight off the show.

It’s still the road that never ends (22,600 words, nc-17).  Sam and Dean go on a roadtrip to eat some barbecue.  The dialogue and Sam’s narrative voice are spot on, for me, but even moreso this is totally something I can see Dean doing.  

Knot A Net To Make The Moon Rise (6,000 words, nc-17).  This is a favourite fuck-or-die fic of mine, and it is pre-series (Sam is 16).  The boys just seem right to me–they’re captured, and the bad guys need a virgin sacrifice.  They need to make sure that sacrifice won’t be Sam.

Realignment (5,000 words, nc-17).  An interesting look at the boys in season one, and it just rang very true for me.  

Future Tense (31,300 words, nc-17).  A story I really like.  Sam and Dean are on a case, when they are given a vision of themselves together far into the future.  Dean thinks it’s fake, but Sam can’t get it out of his head.  Lovely story, with lovely voices for both boys (especially Sam) throughout.

Windfall for the non-believer (35,000 words, R).  A pretend-couple fic set after Death has put up the wall in Sam’s mind.  I think the boys are pretty perfect in this one. 

How Dean Winchester Finally Got a Clue (27,700 words, R).  Dean’s narrative voice here is great.  This is a light, funny fic that really focuses on Dean’s cluelessness about how Sam really feels about him.  Very funny and sweet.

There’s a Hell of a Universe Next Door (28,000 words, nc-17).  This one is maybe dangerous to put on this list, because it doesn’t feature Dean’s voice as it actually is on the show… It’s an AU–sort of.  It’s just a really interesting story, and to me Dean’s voice makes sense based on the context of the fic.  Dean gets stuck in another universe, but he knows things aren’t right.  When he dreams he finds himself with Sam. This features a mentally unstable Dean, and it’s just a really thought-provoking, well-written story.

All Dean can see is college kids. There’s literally a sea of them, flooding in around the bar to call out raucous orders and standing in little clusters, all fresh-faced and bright-eyed and perma-buzzed. He can’t see anyone like who he’s looking for, no one he’d imagine his little brother to hang around with – but then, he realises with a pang, he wouldn’t really know.

“Dean,” says a voice behind him, and Dean turns with relief.

“Hey, Sammy,” Dean replies with a grin and two outstretched arms.

He watches as Sam’s eyes drink him in before he lets Dean pull him into a hug, and Jesus, it feels like he’s put on about fifteen pounds in muscle and, if possible, his limbs are even longer than before. Dean’s all wrapped up in him and it’s so soothing, such a comfort that when Sam pulls back and slides a hand down to the small of Dean’s back, he doesn’t protest, just melts into it. Like he always does.

LOOK DEARLY DEVOTED DIRT HUSBAND OF MINE, I did it! It’s as the prompt says, friends, but I forgot about the panties. But everything else is there! So, explicit, bottom!Dean, toppiest top!Sam, slightly rough semi-public sex. Hope you like it!

Dean slammed the trunk shut and heavedan immense sigh, leaning against it with both of his palms flat. Itwasn’t like the hunt had been particularly taxing or weird oranything, but what tired him out the most was the thick, heavy, babypink plug situated up his ass. He couldn’t really forget it wasthere. Every few seconds he clenched around the bulbous width andfelt the base nudge at him and he wanted to curse out Sam in theworst way.

Hours before, Sam had tossed it on thebed with their assembled supplies for the hunt, the pretty pink thingtotally at odds with all that metal and those sharp edges. But Deandidn’t argue. He bent right over the bed in front of Sam, grabbed theprovided lube and fingered himself open for a few impatient minutesuntil the plug fit. He popped it in with no ceremony, just a grunt,and then he dressed himself again. He put a knife in each boot, a guneach down his pants and in his jacket, regular stuff. He could handleit.

He mostly did. He’d almost forgotabout the plug for a few minutes in the thick of things, at leastuntil he had to run. That wasan experience.

Butnow he could relax, take his time, get his shit together for thedrive home. He knew Sam would take the wheel, probably find thebumpiest dirt roads in existence as his own teasing kind of foreplay.Not that Dean even needed it; he’d been hard on and off again sincethe motel and now it was decidedly on, now that he had a few minutesto chill and contemplate the feeling again. It didn’t go much beyondso big.

WhenDean straightened up and turned around, Sam was right there and Deanstarted, his body tensing in fright, his ass clenching around theplug again. He moaned this time, grabbing a fistful of Sam’s shirt.“Fuck, don’t fucking sneak up when I’m -”

Hedidn’t finish.

Theplug whirred slowly to life and choked off his words in a surprisedexhale, almost a fucking squeak. He sagged against Sam immediately,the vibrations so slow and low that his whole body was thrumming withthem and jesus, that explained why it was so heavy and he was goingto kill Sam or no, that wasn’t right, he probably should thankSam. Except he couldn’t think for a few minutes while his body buzzedand his dick throbbed in his pants.

“There’sa remote,” Sam explained, and Dean could hear the smirk. “Did Iforget to mention that?”

When Dean had laid down the cash for the solid oak dinette set, he’s ashamed to say that he hadn’t even considered that he might spend more time on top of it than around it.
