Working on fulfilling an angsty request around Adrian cheating on you and let me tell you, I'm having a fucking ball with this one so far and I'm very excited about getting to write in the twist to this.

This is the very last thing you need right now, and the thought of a wedge being driven between the entire team over anyone picking sides when you all have to keep working together makes your stomach churn. You can't take it anymore. The commiserative stares. The arguing over one another. The thought of Adrian touching, kissing, fucking other people and then coming to be with you. The bottle leaves your hand before you can even process the thought. Glass smashes against the wall across the room, splintering the raised voices as beer stains the painted surface, trickling down over the baseboard to puddle on the floor. You don't even remember hauling yourself up onto your feet, it all happened on auto-pilot.

I went into a lot about the plot for The Golden Veil in THIS post, so be sure to check that out.

I will add that before coming up with the idea for Veil, I’d had a very fond image in my head of ‘Tom is a retired knight’. If I could draw it, it would be a gray-haired Tom with a sword, sitting on a rock, with young children (Draco is fixed in my head for some reason) swarming him for details of all his adventures and he’s begrudgingly appeasing them (he likes it and he likes them, even though he’d never admit it). I never had a story to go with this image but now I can see this fitting in with the Veil’s plot line and it makes me all cozy.

I had said in that earlier post and in the WIP Game post that The Golden Veil is my current project. And it was. But it isn’t anymore. I have since diverted to Undertow, my Dredge AU. I’m still very excited about the Veil and fully intend on writing it sometime in the future, but for now it looks like my focus has shifted from Knight Tom to Fisherman Tom. lol
