genuine question , why do so many people act like engaging in acts of self harm for attention means that your self harm is invalid and that self harming for attention is a moral failing of some kind ?? does self harming not mean that you need mental aid no matter what the intention behind it is ? also , the fact that you self harm for attention , a . doesn ' t make you a bad person and i have no idea where this sentiment came from in the first place , and b . is a further sign that you deserve help , at least in my opinion . i dunno i just really don ' t get why people say " oh yeah if you self harm you deserve help unless you only do it for attention " because . people who only do it for attention need help too ??? i thought we ' ve been knowing this hello ???? i know i ' m kind of speaking into an echo chamber here by putting this on jiraiblr but i just wanted to get this out , ,
