After a short but bitterly cold ride they all arrived at Katsuyama Temple. The little elf enjoyed strolling around while the dinosaurs chatted with the local mascots.

Squeeeepop! The little elf popped out of the dinosaur manhole and found himself in Katsuyama, where there indeed was snow. He followed some dino tracks until he found some very cold looking dinosaurs who offered to give him a ride to Katsuyama Temple.

He quickly found a wise looking dinosaur who told him that he was in Fukui and suggested that he go to Katsuyama if he wanted to see some snow. The little elf thought that one should always follow the advice of dinosaurs. He hopped down a manhole, hoping that the phoenixes would keep him warm on the way.

As the poor little elf wandered around underground in shame, he gradually felt the days grow colder. At last he managed to gather the courage to resurface and sprang out of a fire hydrant hole. He noticed it was no longer autumn, but had no idea where he was. He wondered if he could find some snow and set off to investigate.

Strolling back down the hill, the little elf almost jumped with glee. He had spotted some kaki, his favourite fruit. Greedily he gobbled one up with a great big bite. Soon his face began to contort and a strange sound seeped out of his mouth, almost like a wail. Poor elf, this was not the sweet kind of kaki, but one that was very, very bitter. The little elf quickly dived down a nearby manhole in embarrassment.

Looking at the coloured leaves reminded the wee elf of his home in Ishizuchi, and he started to feel a bit homesick. However, just as he started to tear up, he happened upon some kind, local doggies. After chatting with them for a while, he perked right up. The peanut yudofu only sold there during two weeks out of the whole year helped a bit, too. He declared it to be quite yummy and was ready to continue on in his adventure.

The little elf wandered around for a while, marvelling at the pretty leaves under the warm autumn sun.

Soon after arriving he made friends with a very quiet cow that greatly resembled a rock.

Then the little elf popped up in Tanbara. He decided to walk up a hill to Nishiyamakoryuji to see the maple leaves.

After having a wee chat with a local tanuki, the little elf decided it was time to go back on his hunt for kaki and sponge cake, so he jumped down this Saijo manhole. Splish. Splosh. Splash!

The little elf hopped off at a quiet looking station and waved goodbye to the Cat Bus who was running late for its stop at the North Pole.

But indeed it was! The Cat Bus had pulled into the bus stop. Not wanting to miss his chance, the little elf scrambled aboard just after Totoro got out to visit Acorn Forest. "Yippee!" the little elf cried as the Cat Bus bounded off into the sky.

When the little elf had had enough of pretending to be a feudal lord of an age gone past, he decided to follow some beautiful ladies down the road. Just when he was wondering if they really would take him to the past, a flash of orange fluff caught his eye. "All aboard!", he heard. Could it be...? Surely not!

The little elf had great fun trying on armour and playing drums(although he did have an awful lot of trouble reaching up that high). He was also pleased to see that fire safety was being observed.

And there it was, the Matsuyama Castle. The little elf jumped with glee and skittered about the grounds.

As he left the onsen the sounds of a curious music filled his ears. Upon investigating, he found that it was coming from a beautiful clock. The lady at the top of the clock told the little elf that there was a castle nearby. Having always wanted to see a castle, the little elf set off to seek it out.
