“Chat!” she exclaims happily. “You’re here!”
And he finds his arms full of superheroine, her arms a little too tight around his neck as she buries her face in his chest.
“Um,” he says, half-wondering if this is actually his Ladybug or if this is another sentimonster designed to trick him.
“I was hoping you’d come out tonight,” she tells him, still in his arms. “I missed you.”
“I… missed you too?” he offers uncertainly, gently disengaging from her embrace.
Or, well, he tries. She doesn’t let him go.
“You’re a squirmy kitty tonight,” she giggles, then loosens her arms and pulls back just enough that she can look him in the face.
Her breath wafts over his face and oh. That explains it.
“Exactly how much did you have to drink?”
Ladybug waves the question off with a flick of her hand, then brings it down to play idly with his bell. “I hardly feel it in the suit,” she says. She moves her hand down to rest on his chest. “Speaking of things I can feel in the suit…”
Chat can feel his face heating up as her words register. It’s far from being the most suggestive thing that’s been said to him tonight and he knows she doesn’t really mean it, but the fact that Ladybug is the one saying it… He hopes his suit is thick enough that she won’t be able to feel the way his heart picks up.
