That’s been this entire week for me…time for a little self pity, curling into myself, crippling self doubt and feeling like the failure that I sometimes see myself as, less than I used to but it never really goes away fully. I start to feel like I am only the mistakes I’ve made and not the fiercely strong woman that I have become. It takes so much work and effort to be strong all the time. I’m exhausted in the most profound way. No worries, me, we will keep on going, self care, self love, be my emotional support person, because the one I want it from is incapable. I’m going to go through this again, feel my feelings and move on. I know it’s not right to continue thinking this person will someday be the person I need, love me like I love them, after 40 years I think I deserve, at least, that. I know I do, it’s just been one of those weeks that makes me forget for a while.
