Sadly, Airyn has been busy this past month (and still is) preparing for an art / anime convention! She will be selling some merch and therefore has prioritized that now that the street and building-related concept art of Dagalis is almost done. I've been working on the moodboard of Amon's palace, which is a chaotic mess that I unfortunately can't show because it's in my wrecked computer :`) But I'll show y'all soon! In the meantime, you tumblr folks can enjoy this concept Airyn did last month!

As for me and the writing department, I've been doing some tweaks to Amon's CH.1. The first chapter is one of the most important, and I want it to be cohesive, attractive, and fun. Some parts I had written could be improved, so I rewrote some stuff and will keep doing so during February. Thanks to our the support of our peeps in our Patreon, we will be able to continue paying Allie, our editor, for her work, and that's genuinely a fucking relief.

Also I've been working on a Patreon ask I owe to our patrons—I may have aimed too high as it's basically me writing nine scenarios (one for each character), but I hope the final result will be worth the wait. I think I should moderate myself a bit with that and be conscious about the amount of work I have on my plate in general jdfsdfbsjf.

Phew! Quite a few things have happened behind the scenes. All USA Kickstarter orders except those with a physical artbook have been sent. Officially. Jesus Christ wasn't this a ride (and is still going to be).

Poor Astro has been breaking his head and fighting the urge to kill Raquel whenever she went "actually 🤓☝️" (perks of having studied graphic design) to remake the cover of our Artbook. As y'all know because we've been talking about it a thousand times, we had to change our planned cover and a bunch of other things. However, thanks AGAIN to y'all, the whole book has been proofreaded (and still is as we talk over a bunch of stuff) by Allie, ensuring its quality and coherence. The digital version will be sent to the backers as soon as poor Astro finishes his exams and can add Allie's corrections to it.

I also had to ask the SPANISH GOVERNMENT!! For an official ISBN numberfor the book, and that was quite the adventure. Also, I asked for an official copyright registration of Lost in Limbo, but that can take up to six months.

Also taxes. I've got to get them ready before the 10th oTL.

I've also worked on the casting call announcement for Vycar and Cécile, but I've to finish the document first. Honestly there's so much stuff I've gotta do I've started, per my psychiatrist advice, writing everything down in a planner / agenda. I break every day into chunks, and so far it's working well!

Poor Kayden has been sick but it's doing better now (I saw him yesterday!); he's dealing with some private matters so please send him a lot of love and some hugs.

The windshield of Raquel's car was damaged with a pebble (allegedly), she's still suffering from back pain, but she's doing well in general. Her full-time job is going well, and she's quite happy which is something to celebrate in the current times.

Astro is studying a lot for his finals! He also had a tiny car accident in which the other driver entered a roundabout without looking, Astro was already in, and they collided. On top of that, the guy said it was Astro's fault when Astro was clearly already in the roundabout and therefore the other driver had to give way. Police obviously agreed with Astro, but the other driver insisted that he didn't agree, soooo…

Astro is fine, the car is holding up with insulating tape and a prayer, and we keep going.

As for myself, my back and shoulders are killing me, my meds were upped two weeks ago (but my psychiatrist is happy with my process) and I'm battling the demons of a kind-of-recently diagnosed PTSD and the EMDR treatment I'm going through along with my OCD. Honestly my therapist is doing wonders and I can't be grateful enough for her.

Some not-so-good news, my other grandpa has been in the hospital for a few days (I went to visit him yesterday after seeing Kayden), but he's doing better.

PhD still kicking my ass, because our university has fucked up some certifiicates they should added to my (and my PhD bestie's) thesis page, but they haven't. Plus more articles to write, a lot to read, terrible games that I've to play to offer an informed, first-hand opinion, and so on. However, I've been working out (doing some calisthenics at home because our local gym is still, huh…flooded) and I've found out that exercise helps me autoregulate. I also add some yoga after the workout!

As for my computer incident, I wanted to change the fans because they were old as fuck and they were doing some noises worth of the rivers of hell. Astro gave me his old fans and I was a brave critter and decided I could handle changing the fans myself. Well. Let's say some fan-unrelated things happened and I've to wait until Astro can come over to fix it because I don't trust myself anymore nor I trust my dad to not break a lever I'm supposed to be pushing to fix what's messed up.

January was a thing. Let's leave it at that. I'm hoping February gives us more of a break to finish some stuff for Amon's CH1 release, and that the artbook crusade finally ends and in a good note. I'm genuinely exhausted so I'mma leave y'all here. The ficlet poll of February will be up soon!
