Explorer Log day 4:
I've taken a temporary detour from the toxic planet to chase down the signal for the ruins. My base here is an hour out from my destination and I'll be trudging through the cold for all of it. Maybe I'll let out one of my creatures I found on this planet and let her walk with me. I'm thinking about naming her Nims Junior
Explorer Log day 4:
I can see the toxic planet from here, and I still have the GPS data for my bases in my visor. It's cool to see my bases so far apart on the planet's surface, knowing I walked that distance on foot. Gives you a real sense of accomplishment
Also I keep falling into holes. I should really start looking where I'm going
Explorer Log day 4:
I found the coordinates to another settlement at an abandoned camp, it's 2 hours further in the direction I'm already headed. I guess I'm taking this detour an extra 2 hours longer
Explorer Log day 4:
I made it to the ruins. I found some sort of old Korvax artifact, and when I touched it, I was filled with greater understanding.
I'm still two hours out from the settlement coordinates, I'm gonna keep going
Explorer Log day 4:
I found a Korvax tribute on the way, and it gave me coordinates to something 20 minutes back the other way. This detour keeps getting longer
Explorer Log day 4:
I'm getting pretty good at recharging my suit's thermal protection without stopping.
I made it back to the new coordinates and I dug some lost research out of the ground. I'm not sure what to do with it yet, but I think I can bring it to a station and trade it with someone
Explorer Log day 4:
My legs are tired. I'll be riding on the back of Nims Junior for a while
Explorer Log day 4:
Nims Junior and I found another ancient Korvax site all on our own. I learned how to say "kop, ugi azd ziykalag" in Korvax
Explorer Log day 4:
I'm back on foot again, Nims Junior was having trouble figuring out how to navigate around. I gave her lots of treats though I felt bad
We found another distress signal, I'll follow it out after we find this settlement. The detour continues to get longer
Explorer Log day 4:
I found a local station !!!! you know what that means!!!! The signals can wait I have battles to fight

Explorer Log day 3:
The wandering spore cloud is out to get me.
If I didn't have the analysis visor, I would be mining copper and expecting to get ammonia. I need to get my eyes checked
Explorer Log day 3:
Ohhh fuck yes I found an exosuit upgrade module FINALLY
Explorer log day 3:
There's sentinels here and I keep hitting the boltcaster in my pocket by mistake. They really don't like me idk why
Explorer Log day 3:
Yet another chasm separates me from the distress signal. I'm too lazy to go around it but I'm too scared to go through it so I guess I'm going around it
Explorer Log day 3:
I mostly fixed someone's spaceship. I almost died when it exploded in my face
The dune worm came by to visit me again. I think she might be following me around but I don't know why
Explorer Log day 3:
I'm a 30-minute walk from the distress signal now. I hope they're not all dead by the time I get there
Ms. dune worm paid me another visit. I wonder if I can recruit her for holo-battles
Explorer Log day 3:
I didn't know there were galactic trade terminals in the middle of nowhere tbh. Anyway there's another chasm so I'm screwed
Explorer Log day 3:
Scooping the residual goop out of damaged machines feels like scooping the whites out of eggs with my bare hands
I'm almost to the distress signal now. I took a detour through a Korvax observatory and I found a signal for some ruins on a nearby moon. I should follow that next
Explorer Log day 3:
I stumbled across a local station!!! I'm sure the distress signla can wait until I'm done with a few holo-battles. they'll be fine
Explorer Log day 3:
I won that last holo-battle with 27 health left on my last creature. Really intense
Oh yeah I'm supposed to be following the distress signal
Explorer Log day 3:
I found the source of the distress signal. The ship was beyond repair. Does anyone know Korvax burial traditions?
My visor says I'm now a five-hour walk from the first base I put down on this planet. I think I'll put down another quick shelter and install the upgrade I found in the remains of the crashed ship
Explorer Log day 3:
I've constructed a quick shelter for the night. Signing off
