In Brazil, the word "deer" can be called in two ways— cervo or veado. Both mean deer, as I mentioned. But we Brazilians love to joke about everything.

So, the word "viado" exists. "Viado" is almost the same as a faggot, a somewhat effeminate people in a rather rude way. It's like, "YOUR GAY!". It depends on your mood, because I, for example, don't find it rude.

So, we have either "viado" or "veado". The pronunciation of "veado" sounds more like "viado". Because Brazilians refer to a deer as "cervo," not "veado." At least I've never met anyone who does it...

And Alastor is a deer.... Whenever I'm bored, I tell my friends "I miss my deer" = "Eu sinto falta do meu veadinho"

• (veadinho: diminutive of deer/veado in Brazil. We like to put practically everything in the diminutive form.)

And remember when I said that the pronunciation of "veado" sounds more like "viado"? All my friends get confused for a moment, like, "you like a gay man...?" But they quickly switch to "aaaah, she's talking about Alastor"
