I understand that to grow as a writer you have to be bad but the stuff I'm writing is making me want to rip my hair out at how terrible it is

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH

I'm doing an exploration of Carrie White. Why you may ask, because I can and it's something I'm passionate about. So to do this passion project I’m reading the book (for the first time) watching all 3 movies then reading the book again. So far in the book Sue is giving bisexual and Carrie is a lesbian. I’m not done with the book and I could change my thgouht but this is what I’m thinking now.

My life is going to shit and I feel like everyone hates me but at least I know I’m going to write some great poetry. Possible breast cancer AND wisdom teeth coming in but can’t afford to get them removed

I don't in anyway mean to downplay anything happening in Minneapolis right now but why are so many of you shocked. These systems of white supremacy and violence have been in place for centuries. This isn't new, this isn't surprising white people are now just turning on each other. They have been treating black folks like this since the moment those boats reached the shores of this land. This aint nothing new, you all have just witnessed a lynching.

One thing about me my post will either have perfect grammar or it’s a free for all and you just have to figure it out

Whenever I say in my daily life I hate living in America I don’t mean it 100%. I hate the white supremely that is so deep rooted into this country that it’s like it’s strangling it. I was born here, so my mother, my grandmother and my great grandmother. I am the descendant of people who survived and fought for their rights. My ancestors had nothing and created a culture, and they cultivated that has survived and flourished on this land. I am an American and while I know the ugliness that come with it. I’ll be damned if I feel ashamed of my ancestors who fought to be treated like human beings. I am my ancestors' wildest dreams, and while I live in a world that is still filled with racism, I refuse to let that stop me.

When talking about the current state of the US I see alot of people make comparisons to Nazi Germany and while that isn’t too far off. I myself saw the comparison and thought yeah this right. We are actually far closer to the Jim Crow era south. The Nazis got their ideas from the US. We aren’t taking a page out of their playbook we are simply reinventing our own. ICE agents are nothing more than modern day slave catchers and those support them and say “they should come here legally” would be the same people ratting out the Underground Railroad. This isn’t new, it’s now just effecting people who aren’t black

In a perfect world Carrie and Sue left thier town and moved to a small town and got a nice house together. They grew old together and when Sue passed Carrie used her powers to spread Sue’s ashes to the stars recalling the night they ran away together and how they stars paled in comparison to her beauty

I want to rewatch season 1 of Percy Jackson but knowing Lance was dying and having to see him on screen would be too much. I can’t even watch the John wick movies anymore
