Iť might genuinely just be that I overproject into him, however hear me out: the thing that made him go postal in the first place was his job (therefore the name), which wouldn't be nearly as soul crushing without the work culture being deeply rooted in capitalist work "morale" that puts individual into constant stress and survival. And capitalism started at the industrial revolution (it's more complicated than that I know, but for the sake of the argument), capitalism as the predominant ideology wouldn't be there without it. Also the overall aesthetics of a person pushed so forward by the society he turns into mostly just his primal instincts, aka does an integer overflow move and returns back, is inhrrently anprim to me as the post industrial society is so far away from what is natural, one just becomes a caricature of a hunting animal

I agree with him being anti government, that goes with it for me. Imo P1 dude himself is apolitical (at least not explicitly political) he just hates everyone and everything and the system, but that's the vibe I get from him from the implicit things.

Population pressure and the stress of modern life may cause an increase in violent tendencies. The urban environment is the incubator for all sorts of undesirable behaviors.
