Sheikh Abdul Razzaq Abdul Muhsin Al-Badr. (Hafidhahullah)

‏قال الإمام الحسن البصري رحمه الله:

لولا العلماء لصار الناس مثل البهائم

مختصر نصيحة أهل العلم 167

Al-Imām al-Hasan al-Basri [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“Were it not for the scholars, people would have become like cattle.”

🌸Al-‘Allāmah as-Sa’di [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“Disobedience to Allāh [Exalted be He] corrupts one’s character, good-deeds and provisions.”

TN: Corruption in the statement above means deprivation; it deprives one from having good character and good conduct. It also deprives one from having good-deeds and deprives one from their source of income.

🌸Abu Hātim al-Busti رحمه الله said:

“...Much remorse lies in uttering speech, whilst there is less regret if one remains silent...”
