You are aware that a fictional character is just a rhetorical construct designed to fulfill a narrative/thematic purpose right? That their actions are written by an author who wants to use them to explore complex ideas and moral gray areas within the safe confines of fiction right? That they aren't a real person who has killed real people right?

Since I'm officially done with the summer exam period and I've seen my last students (til late August) in exams on Monday, I feel the need to say this: the SFA kids are exactly how they are supposed to be. I teach medical students, so all of them, well okay most of them, are brilliant, ambitious and hardworking people (who also love a good competition and winning in competitions, that must be said). They are also barely adults, so they are goofy af sometimes, they are stupid and annoying sometimes, they try to stretch the rules, they are assholes sometimes, to me and to their classmates, they can't write e-mails for shit (okay, that is a nitpick, but you don't understand how many shitty e-mails I get on a daily basis), they go through tough times. Because they are becoming adults in real time and because they are human. So yeah, the cadets in SFA? Well written, just like the real ones.
