Catching up!
It's been awhile since my last post! Â Life - personal, work, and school - has been busy & hectic. Â All good things, but keeping me occupied for sure!Â
Last weekend, my Dad's side of the family had a get-together - a chance to catch up & visit with cousins, aunts & uncles. Â It's always a good opportunity to reflect on the importance of family and the special memories that we make with them. Â Many of my cousins have now become parents, and it's amazing to watch our family grow. Â
In fact, our family is about to grow by 1 more this year - my sister and her husband are due with their first child this fall! Â I'm so excited to be able to watch her become a mother & to share in the joy of this special time with her. Â I'm also excited for my parents to experience being grand-parents for the first time.
Last weekend's reunion also coincided with Father's Day - a day to honour our wonderful, kind & loving Dad. Â When I think about the importance of family, I know it was my Dad who taught me a lot of these values. Â Ever since I was little, he's loved sharing stories about family & looking through old photo albums. Â I am so lucky to have a Dad who is sentimental and who puts family first. Â He also has a terrific sense of humour - something I like to think I might have inherited from him :)
So, that's what's been going on with me. Â I've also been enjoying beautiful June weather and all of the beauty that comes along with it. Â Just like these beautiful peonies (my absolute favourite flower) from my Mom's garden:
Anyhow, I hope to keep more up-to-date on my blogging. Â I've got a lot of recipes and other things to share!
Talk soon!
