Some of you seem to be allergic to communication. Communication is a huge part of our community. It’s probably the second biggest part next to consent. If you want to try something with someone, even a partner, you need to talk to them about it. You can’t just hint and expect them to do it. You need to talk. This isn’t an option. Decorated pacifiers are really popular within our community. However there are some concerns we should be addressing.

✎ Expensive

These pacifiers, bottles, and other decorative items are wildly expensive for something you probably won’t use that much, let alone at all. They are basically just glorified jewelry. Do not get me wrong, they are cute and our artists do deserve to be paid for their work. However this doesn’t change the fact they are insanely pricey.

✎ Maintenance

These pacifiers, bottles, and other decorative items are wildly expensive for something you will need to keep maintenance on. Especially if the pacifier maker did not use the right glue. They do need to be fixed after a period of time, they will need to have beads replaced, they will need new nipples, and so on.

✎ Bad For Teeth

These pacifiers and other decorative items with things inside of the nipples are really bad for your teeth and no one is talking about it. Grinding against the hard beads, chewing apart the nipple with the glitter, the sparkles people put in them, and other things inside is not good, let alone safe for mouth health. Let’s also not forget some items placed inside are toxic. These can chip teeth, damage enamel, cause extreme sensitivity, as well as create other damaging factors. Please be careful.

✎ Choking Hazzard

These pacifiers and other decorative items with items placed inside the nipples are a choking hazard and we’re all just ignoring it. You understand that you could easily chew through the nipple and have those things fall into your throat, correct? If the nipple is not placed securely it could even fall off causing the items to fall inside your mouth. Especially if you are sleeping with it in.

✎ Sanitary

These pacifiers and other decorative items cannot be submerged into boiling hot water for five minutes. The only way to clean them is with wet wipes or other items with chemicals on them. This is not safe either. You also won’t be able to replace the nipple with ease. This causes concern for how sanitary these items really are.

✎ Toxic

These pacifiers and other decorative items can be incredibly toxic. Depending what material is used to put them together such as resin, glue, beads, even the things some people place inside the nipples can be incredibly toxic to the body.

I would like to remind the entire community that liking things deemed childish is not an indicator for AgePlay. People outside of our community may enjoy the same activities, shows, interests, hobbies, and so on that we do for a large variety of reasons. This does not automatically place someone in the same category as us. Having a bubbly personality, enjoying cartoons, collecting stuffed animals, liking Disney, childish behavior, cute voices, inner child healing, and so on do not automatically mean someone is within these communities. Someone can watch cartoons, someone can enjoy ‘childish’ hobbies, someone can enjoy cute aesthetics, someone can like things we also like within this community without being a Little or Middle. Anyone can enjoy things that are deemed for children and not be within our community.

A dynamic is a type of relationship that can be platonic, romantic, sexual, or all three. This will be built based on specific roles, power exchange, activities, rules, and even punishments. Many discussions on what is and isn’t allowed should be done throughout the entirety of your relationship. Some people enjoy a monogamous approach, while others enjoy a polygamous, or open.  There will always be someone who leads each scene, known as the Dominant, while the person who willingly gives up control will be known as the Submissive. Although in some cases these roles will be reversed, known as a Switch. These roles are flexible and do not always align with the action of said roles. Sometimes a dynamic is just meant for roleplay while others have a much deeper connection. Every dynamic will be unique and how it works is entirely up to you and your dynamic partner to decide.
