"In a universe of light and dark, where perception is reality…

Long since erased from the records of time, there once existed two Gaia clans who served as overseers of history for the powers that be: The Umbra Werehogs, dwellers of the darkness and servants of Dark Gaia, and the Lumen Hedgehogs, controllers of light and servants of Light Gaia. The clans paid each other great respect, and their efforts to maintain the balance between them defended the just passage of time.

Yet, one day, that balance was toppled.

The once harmonious clans fell into disagreement and stoked the flames of hatred against each other, resulting in an era of strife. The conflict between the Umbra and the Lumen threw all of Earth into a chaotic loop of battle, ambush, assassination, and casualty.

It was truly a gruesome war. Yet, despite the tremendous radiance of Light Gaia shining upon them, the Lumen Hedgehogs were gradually weakened by the assault of the secretive dark werehogs. Years after the balance was lost, the war had ended in the Umbra Werehogs' favor.

Their victory was short-lived.

Fearing the werehogs' dark abilities, humans began to condemn the remaining Umbra. They launched the werehog hunts, rounding up the battle-weary werehogs with little resistance and subjugating those who wished to continue the struggle. Human faith in the miracles of their own perception of Gaia pushed the werehog hunts further, and soon the Umbra Werehogs, keepers of the darkness, were extinguished from the Earth.

All but one.

A hedgehog, born of both light and darkness, with the power of The Lumen Hedgehog... and the power of The Umbra Werehog. He lives as a guardian of this very planet. Only he and his fellow protectors can keep the many Gaias united as one, and maintain the planet's harmony.

The blue blur... and the blue beast... as one.

Only the power of True Equilibrium will save us all. His name is Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog... and Sonic the Werehog.

RAWR!! I made some Werehog art! Yeah I am not an artist at all... I rarely even do creative stuff these days. But I was compelled to draw him because I missed him so, so much... These Posca markers are hard to work with especially if they leak out, but I make it work the best I can. I love the colors they bring to guys like Sonic. They are so fun for cartoon and video game characters!
