I know, it was already proven wrong but the parallel made me ask myself "what if they could feel each others pain since they are connected by their deaths?"

Would have been one hell of a concept

I'm bad at explaining and wasn't sure if someone mentioned it before but hear me out:

This weeks chapter and the one before are basically parallels. One person's impending doom slowly takes its toll on them (Ada withering, basically dying as far as I've understood Poppet, and Lenore confronting the Stag that was searching for her)

While on the other hand, there is another person trying to save them from their predestined fate (Annabel is lying, saying Ada will get better soon while Morella is trying to stop Lenore from sacrificing herself)

Also Lenore and Annabel both making promises they probably can't keep to deny the high risk of both of them dying

And this conflict already existed when Lenore and Annabel were still alive, Lenore being portrayed as a madwoman, locked in the attic with having no one but the maids to keep her company. Especially in the Victorian Era, once you were considered as mad, you most likely kept the status until death (I assume, I could be wrong though)

That's the reason why Lenore has described herself as dead since the accident but 'relived' as soon as Annabel entered her life. For once, since the accident, she was treated like an actual person, not just as a hysterical madwoman. Plus her family curse seems not to be making exceptions, even following her to the academy.

It's the same for Ada, as far as it was shown, Ada gave off the impression that everything she ever wanted was to be with a person who cherished/loved/cared. But of course, her life ended before she could experience it. (Funny enough, this does apply to all three of them, Ada, Lenore AND Annabel)

I like how they underlined the similarity between Ada and Lenore. Last time it was seen in the manor arc, when Lenore called her mad for being reckless to get close to Prospero, following with Ada (unintentionally) calling out Lenore, saying "that people always do crazy things when being in love", reminding of her own reckless behaviour when she was still alive

(btw it was one of my favourite arcs, I miss people talking about ittt)

Anyway, in both situations, Annabel decided to stay by their sides regardless of their fates. In that case, staying on Ada's side while the whithering continues and as for Lenore, deciding to marry her, knowing they most likely won't get away with someone noticing their fraud.

Posted a wip of it ages ago, but noticed I've never posted the results, so here we gooo

Just my vision of Lenore's spectre

I haven't quite decided on it, but wings will definitely be part of it, also loved the idea of her being some type of knight since it fits good to Annabel metaphorically being seen as the damsel within the comic (though Annabel as the knight in this trope is also an insanely good concept)

But I also feel like she will have similar skills as the stag since they seem to have a connection, but who knows

I thought a lot about the recent chapter of Nevermore and I came to the conclusion that Prospero needs more appreciation😌
