Obsessed with them all thinking Cleo and Zane would get married on a dock in the dolphin exhibit

One of the most iconic H2O line to me is Zane, saying to Cleo, Rikki, and Emma: “you chicks are weird!”

it's crazy how absolutely flat Bella and Will are together. a free diver who loves the sea and a mermaid? the whole idea of them both being so used to not being in any one place long enough to put down roots? on paper it's a slam dunk. but they have no chemistry. especially compared to clewis or zikki? i am falling asleep. yawn. even emma and ash had better chemistry!

I hate how Will is barely interested in Bella until he finds out she's a mermaid. Like, it really feels like he doesn't care about her as a person at all. When he says, "But you've gotta admit, it is the most amazing part" after Bella says being a mermaid isn't all she is?? Actually get out of my sight. Remember when Lewis said "you're amazing, you can do anything [...] I didn't mean the powers" and Zane said "yes, I know, and no I don't care" --even ZANE, who was obsessed with finding his mermaid, was able to see past it and love Rikki for who she is and not what she is.

Charlotte is so confident when she gives Lewis the "her or me" ultimatum, only for him to utterly obliterate her with "there really is no choice. I never want to see you again."

As much as Charlotte pisses me off this episode, I do love her party dress. very cute.

I think this episode really illustrates my main issue with Charlotte. There are so many times where she is genuinely sympathetic and where I feel like there is more to her, where I think the girls are being unreasonable and acting out of line towards her. But ultimately it is overshadowed by how she treats Lewis. It's textbook emotional manipulation. She's controlling, she follows him, she guilts him, she lies to him for sympathy points, she steals his phone, she tries to isolate him from his social group and support system (not just the girls, why doesn't she invite any of HIS friends to his birthday party??), and she doesn't care about his interests or wants or needs...

I am a big believer in Lewis having some prophetic abilities. I wanted this episode to be a set up for that as a full arc, but alas it was not. Which I understand as it would've pulled focus from the girls. But in my heart this is not the last time this happens.

AU version of season 2 where clewis didn't get together by the end of season 1, so instead of Cleo pining after the guy she just dumped, it's Cleo realizing the guy who has Always Been There might not always be there and freaking the absolute fuck out about it.
