I think clone wars dark side anakin is my favorite dark side anakin. because yeah, in the movies, you can tell he's gonna fall. maybe not in the phantom menace, but in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith, it's so obvious! everything about him just oozes both light and dark, the dark steadily winning. but clone wars anakin? clone wars anakin? oh, he's a sun. he's blindingly bright and he's happy. we can go full episodes without a trace of the dark side showing up on his face or in his actions, which makes when he does go dark even more jarring. when he snaps and attacks and the imperial march plays faintly in the background, when not even ten minutes earlier in the episode he was joking around with ahsoka. that is peak dark side anakin to me, because that is what i imagine anakin truly was. happy and fun and then snapping, terrifying. it's why no one believed it when he fell. why obi-wan and padme and ahsoka didn't see it coming.

obi-wan kenobi only looks like a respectable, even-tempered rule-follower because he's standing next to Anakin "what are rules" Skywalker and Ahsoka "i know the rules but i don't give a shit" Tano. the moment he's alone, and not being forced to keep anyone in check, he is JUST as chaotic as the other two, if not more because he DOES know the rules and he DOES give a fuck so the fact that he's breaking them means he REALLY wants to ruin someone's day

anyway, if satine kryze was actually a terrible ruler and a terrible person who was wrong about everything, the actual bad guys (you know, the murderous fascist sith lords??) wouldn't have been so invested in getting rid of her

been listening to ‘would you fall in love with me again’ a lot recently and uhhh might have to fuck around and write a dinluke fic where Luke and Din got married pre ANH, and then Luke runs off to fight in a war and save the galaxy and leaves Din behind with a promise to come back to him, and the years keep passing and passing and passing with no sign of Luke, but Din doesn’t give up hope that Luke will come back to him, he believes he’ll come back, he has to believe that, and the years continue to pass and Din becomes Mand’alor and still he doesn’t give up hope, he keeps waiting, even when all his advisors and clan leaders suggest that maybe Din should move on, that he should get married again, that he needs to get married again, Din keeps waiting and waiting and waiting because he knows Luke is alive, Luke will come back, he has a husband and he doesn’t need another, and he keeps waiting and waiting and waiting until one day there is a knock at his door, and the man behind that door looks different then the Luke who left Din behind, but he is not a stranger. No matter how long it’s been he is still Luke, his is still Din’s husband, he is still the man Din will fall in love with again, he is still Din’s Luke.

i still think it's insane for 9yo anakin to somehow be safer at qui-gon's side than at the jedi temple in TPM. like, qui-gon is trying to be somewhat responsible for his safety (re: "stay in the cockpit") but he still let the kid into an active warzone. and yet somehow anakin is safer there than at the jedi temple?! this is a kid freshly out of enslavement with pretty much nowhere else to go! why are literally any other jedi not even trying to be responsible for his well-being?! is he already being bullied by the initiates and padawans? are the jedi really being that hostile to him to the point he's better off going to a war-struck planet with qui-gon than staying on coruscant?! or are the jedi council taking qui-gon's padawan claim seriously enough to let anakin follow his unofficial mentor into an active warzone like an official padawan while still denying him official jedi order membership?? what is going on there???
