@arsononneptune first of all ive never seen anyone individually call them rat and piss and im still laughing about that as i write this. Anyway the main ideas im rotating in my brain right now are:

1) They go on a date to a fair/carnival or something. Mostly I just want them to go on a ferris wheel or a rickety ass rollercoaster because they want to impress the other person but they're both lowkey scared of heights. Maybe they get stuck on the ferris wheel and pass the time talking to distract each other hehe. I want aventurine to use his good luck to win ratio a stupid little duck stuffed animal. Et cetera. shenanigans happen

2) Major Character Death, Mourning and heartbreak. one of them is going to die and its whatever one hurts the other more. i actually have a fic in the shop about this (baby's first major character death) but it wont be written for a while so. Yeah

3) me and @/tales-of-fluri were talking about them and brought up the topic of them doing a gift exchange but the gifts have to be handmade, and not something theyd usually do. I think thats a very thoughtful character study in the making considering ratio probably does art and aventurine just buys everything. Considering how theyd both have to get out of their comfort zones.... very cute

#how it started feeling

The genre of the story I’m writing is fantasy (although the setting is more like the real world than any high fantasy stuff) and it has a lot of religious references. Since I’ve been writing it to explore my own religious guilt.

I don’t want to add too many details, but I’ve been working on it for a while now. For now it sits in my drafts and my journal. Perhaps someday it will see the light of day, but that day isn’t anytime soon.

thats soooooo cool, fantasy is always such a good vessel to parallel real issues and experiences. and fantasy in more of a real world setting??? pondering the concepts of godlike beings and reincarnation etc etc (i hope im remembering the parts of your previous ask correctly, i think i am), but putting those things in a setting they maybe wouldn't be in normally. really good intersection

#i can definitely relate to the religious guilt part too‚ but i struggle to translate that into any personal writing i do #its amazing to be able to like. harness it for creativity i applaud that #asks #anons
