⚡️ NEON SONADOW: THE LIGHTS ARE ON ⚡️

I finally finished the Neon Sonadow illustration! This project was a blast to work on, especially since it gave me an excuse to play with the futuristic tech-wear aesthetic of the Neon Suit skins from Sonic Rumble Party.

🖌️ The Process

I wanted to do more than just a redraw; I wanted to push my technical boundaries in Rebelle 7.

I matched the high-voltage cyan and magenta color palette directly from the official game skins.

The final result captures that moody, atmospheric "cyberpunk" vibe I was aiming for from the start.

⚡️ Concept: Neon Sonadow ⚡️

Taking a break from Sonic Revolution to work on some new sticker designs! I really wanted to draw Neon Suit Sonic and Neon Suit Shadow from Sonic Rumble Party. I’m currently leaning into hoodies, piercings, and lots of attitude. This is still in the rough sketch phase, but the plan is to turn these into physical stickers and a digital pack for the community.

My fingers are actually throbbing as I type this, but the vision has been realized.

I decided to customize these foam "leather" sandals with some hand-embroidered Sonic and Shadow portraits.

The Technicals:

Method: 100% backstitch.

Time: 3 hours over 3 days.

The Struggle: The material was so thick I had to use a push pin to pre-poke every single hole and then use the edge of my table to force the needle through.

It was a total battle, but now I can have them with me every step of the way. Swipe for the close-ups of the ultimate lifeform and the fastest thing alive!

My apologies for the hiatus! Between the chaos of Sonic Revolution and life doing its thing, I’ve been a bit of a ghost. But I haven’t forgotten about you or the site!

✨ 21 Years of Sonadow: 2004 ➡️ 2025 ✨

I was digging through my physical archives recently and found a traditional pencil sketch I did back in 2004. I couldn't resist seeing what it would look like if I redrew it today!

It’s wild to look back at where I started. The original was done with pencils on paper (complete with some very '2004-era' sass regarding Sally and Amy—check the original sketch for a laugh!).

For the 2025 version, I wanted to bridge the gap between traditional and digital. I used Rebelle 7 to recreate the pencil work, keeping that organic "tooth" and texture, before moving into a full-color finish in my current style.

I’ve officially pushed the new website layout to the main page of Sonadow Online! 🥳

A Quilt of Destiny: Central Sonadow Square! 🌟

Behold the heart of my future Sonadow quilt! This square uses fabric applique for the main figures, placed against a beautiful galaxy print fabric. The details—like the little hearts and the foliage—are finished with hand embroidery.

It perfectly represents their complex, yet bonded, relationship. This is the biggest textile project I have, and I am so excited to see the full quilt come together someday!

Chaos Control: Sonadow Embroidered Pencil Case WIP

Sharing the finished front panel of a little passion project: a handmade cloth pencil case for my Sonadow collection!

The design is all about the balance between Sonic and Shadow. It's 100% hand-stitched, featuring their motifs, the iconic red and blue, and surrounded by Chaos Emeralds.

🦇 Alpha Sonic Embroidery 🦇

This spooktacular piece is Alpha Sonic, the vampire AU version of the blue blur from my Alpha Identity comic, all hand-stitched onto a cloth napkin! I used a satin stitch to capture the quills and the texture of that little pumpkin.

It’s always fun to bring my comic AU characters to life in a physical craft! Definitely a dark delight.
