Steven’s character arc honestly just pisses me off.

In Season 2, he’s the only character who actually knows everything Conrad is carrying. He knows about the frequency of the panic attacks AND that Conrad is still in love with Belly and actively planning on telling her.

Even Belly and Jeremiah don’t know everything. Belly only knows about the one panic attack at the funeral, it doesn't seem like she knows it's something he's continuing to struggle with. And the extent to which they both know Conrad still has feelings for her is… a grey area at best.

(Side note, I put that more on Jeremiah. Belly was still deep in denial at that point, but Jeremiah absolutely should have known he wasn't over it.)

Is it still messed up that they got together as quickly as they did? Absofuckinglutely. Is Belly completely oblivious all season? Yes. Girl, please get your eyes checked.

But the fact that Steven (supposedly one of Conrad’s best friends) knows how badly he’s struggling, and then just… never speaks to him again? It’s crazy. I get that Belly is his sister, so by default he’s going to stay close to her and Jeremiah. But him acting like Conrad abandoned him in California? Be so fucking for real. Steven was the first person who knew about him getting in to Stanford (and watched him have a panic attack over it), knew how long Conrad had dreamed about going there, and knew how heartbroken he must have been to watch Belly move on with his literal brother... And he basically just goes “Well, California’s far, good luck with that bro.” What the fuck?? So much for visiting him in California 🙄

And don’t even get me started on his Season 3 arc. Cheaters love company, I guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If the movie just glosses over it with no acknowledgement and suddenly they’re best bros again, I’m going to be so annoyed.

You cannot convince me that Jeremiah had any romantic interest in Belly until he saw her as competition with Conrad. He shows zero jealousy at her being with Cam... when they kiss, he has the same reaction as her literal brother. Meanwhile, poor Conrad wants to die.

Sassy Conrad, you will always be my favorite. One of the best scenes of Season 2.
