I've been absent the past few days. Work has been extremely busy, since I'm alone in the classroom (Co teacher had to leave to Israel for a family emergency). I'm hoping to be back and catch up on what I missed on Sunday.

This week's Torah portion is the same one of my brothers bar mitzvah, and my favorite parsha (portion). It's called BaShalach- in sending. We call the Shabbat Shabbat Shira, and he Sabbath of song, since there is a song in the text we read this week.

May our week be filled with song, dance and happiness.

Lol, I laughed so hard at that. There's always beef bacon! (Somehow, I don't think even Chabad can overwrite Torah laws :P Even though they try on a regular basis)

Okay Tumblr VM community, this is for you.

All three teasers/trailers sliced up and reassembled into one long hopefully (but probably not even close) chronological video laced with sarcasm that you’ll probably hate if you’re not used to me.

Most are grouped by outfit, but I think Veronica wore the two-toned gray trench on the first two consecutive days, so I tried to find a logical order.

Not a fanvid. Didn’t even attempt to lyric match or to match action with the beats.

Sorry for the silence at the very beginning. I couldn’t find a long enough span of background music without some cast member or another speaking over it. Already thinking of audio I could have put there, but as it took over an hour to upload, I’m leaving it alone.

Actually the audio tracks are a hot mess all around, but audio has never really been my thing.

So, I’ve always been incredibly confused by the birthdays on Veronica Mars, especially the ones that are widely accepted by fans.

I know that there are issues with the birthdays on VM due to Logan’s Un-Birthday and his comment that it was “six months earlier or three months late” that conflicted…

So, in the American system, you start school when you are 5. Some schools let you start at 4 though if you’re turning 5 in August or September. So, in theory, if school started in late August & Vee had just turned 5, then she might have started a year before Logan. The cutoff dates are not the same for every school district though. They definitely imply that Veronica turned 18 just before school started in 2.1, but its also not out of the question that, if her birthday was close to the beginning of the school year, her parents might have decided that she’d be better off with another year of pre-school or something and waited to enroll her around her 6th birthday.

I personally turned 5 in October, and started school just before my 6th birthday and had a similar age gap between myself and some of my friends who were born in the spring of the following year, like with Logan & Veronica. I was 18 for most of my senior year.

I’m an August baby, and started school weeks after my 5th birthday. I was always the youngest in my class.

Veronica must have started kindergarten right after she turned 6.

It very much depends on the district. The cutoffs vary (greatly) and range from Sep 1st- Dec 31st. I think a parent can decide to hold their child back a year if want- in my HS class there were students over a year apart. The youngest girl in my grade was born on dec 24th, and the oldest on sept of the year before. So, you see, it depends on the state, district and school.

Back from Montreal, and so so thankful for the snow day today-since we are all (minus one adult, who is jetlagged) sick :-( Getting ready for sick Shabbat, full of Shnitzel, challah, marzipan rugalach from Jerusalem, and mainly chicken soup. Going to join ND (5) and A (1.5) that are currently cuddling in my bed and singing bedtime and Shabbat songs. See you in 25 hours, tumblr, hopefully better and maybe with a drabble or two!

She's so cute!! Keep talking to her, and she'll be fluent. Isn't it awesome how quickly they grasp the language and just run with it?

(I speak only Hebrew to the nieces at home, ND (5) is fluent and a good 2/3 of AA's (20 months) vocabulary is Hebrew.)
