The problem with "treat yourself like you would treat a friend :)" is that I can't treat myself like I treat someone that I'm not personally responsible of. I don't have to make anyone else get out of bed. I don't have to make anyone else do their work. I don't have to make anyone else maintain a social life. I don't have to make anyone else do their hobbies and chores. I'm not in charge of anyone else's life, of course I don't have to hold them to the same standards. And I can't verbally express how fast my entire shit would asplode if I treated myself like I treat people who are not my personal responsibility.

This is why these days I'm treating myself like a child that I'm trying to look after and teach.

Not book smart or street smart but a secret third thing.

dont store a knife with the point facing down, it damages the blade. no, dont do that either. when you store it with the point facing up you might accidentally hurt yourself when you try to grab it. dont store a knife at all actually. your blade must never leave your hand, always ready, ruthless and waiting. you know deep down that ever since you learned the stench of blood you will never be able to cast it aside. or just get a sheath for it i guess.

im a simple man in my ideal world working full time should pay enough that you can quit and take several months off to do non work things if you wanna. save up and write a novel or go travelling with no consequence. and doing this doesn't fuck up your resume because it would be normal and healthy.
