I greatly underestimated how long it would take me to finish one page of this comic, so I apologize in advance for hyping people up and not delivering the rest of the story in a timely manner. As seen here. It was an horrific way to die, the Romans considered it deeply shaming way to die. It could last days even, it was slow, people would watch the person on the cross slowly die. In Solhelm they used to do this as a form of execution which I really hope they explore in Episode Ardyn.

Ardyn of course knew this was traumatising, he had been through it once before himself, he knew how long it took to die in this way…

So he did it to Prompto, waiting for Noctis to come find him. Ardyn wasn’t playing with Noctis when he said ‘I think he’s stopped breathing’ as crucifying a person would mean that person would stop breathing from having their arms up and all the weight hanging from them.
