It's my annoyingly pedantic opinion that your JRPG plot isn't gnostic unless it involves a character achieving a union of spirit and matter in some way. Otherwise it's just killing a guy who calls themself god, and that's just Christian but you're playing for the Roman team.
Like if you can beat god to death with a tire iron that's not really gnostic. You can do that in dark souls but it's only because an Aeon fucked up the spirit/matter dichotomy so bad that he had to hook himself up to the material world like an IV drip.

This is a remake of my oldest bg3 comic. I wanted to delete it because I didn't like it but I decided to just polish it, haha
I remember drawing the old comic in a sudden manic rush, working on way too many pages in 2 days, (don't do that folks) but not really expecting anyone to read it.
I still don't like it and I'm not even quite sure why, I probably just don't like re-reading my own stuff xD

The past of a magistrate -bg3 astarion comic, durge, wyll, shadowheart, karlach, gale
From all the interviews or background information I've read about the character, Astarion's past is interesting to me as it shows quite well how the writers didn't always seem to agree or be sure on what kind of past they should give him and how important it should be for the game. Astarion seems to be a character with a lot of many rewritten pasts and the possibilty of him being a pretty horrible person but was supposed to be at the same time a companion you can sympathise with and being actually innocent. No wonder there are so many writing ideas for him!
