“Be patient, don't rush”

Nico nodded and pushed out to the middle of the ice, presenting to the massive arena and taking his starting position. He has done this a million times, from his first competition at 5 to the height of his career at 22, competing was never nerve wracking. Nico’s confidence that he could perform a clean program even on his worst day never wavered, so now, about to skate his short program at the 2024 NHK trophy, he took in his last breath and the music started.
