These photos have been censored in accordance with tumblr rules. Decades after these were taken and decades at Mapplethorpe's death his work is still be censored. His images of Black men were viewed as #exploitative. #GlenLigon was critical of the works and his critique and reworking are included in the exhibition and will be shared in another post.
