This year’s prompts are inspired by the colours of Gilbert Baker’s original Pride flag. Every day pairs a colour with its meaning and you can use the colour, the meaning, or both in whatever way inspires you.

While the theme is Pride-inspired, your work doesn't need to be specifically about Pride or queer identity. All versions and interpretations of Solavellan are welcome! The prompts are open-ended so everyone can take part in a way that fits their Solas, Lavellan, and relationship.

With the world feeling especially heavy for our queer community this year, we just wanted this year’s theme to be an expression of love and support.

This is an event to celebrate, not only a most iconic pairing such as Solas and Lavellan, but to celebrate and connect the Solavellan community as well.

Participation & Prompts

All creative mediums are welcome, including fic, art, comics, edits, virtual photography, gifs, screenshots, animation, playlists, music/lyrics, moodboards, crafts, cosplay, and more.

Choose whichever prompt inspires you, combine the prompts for the day, or interpret them in your own way.

You do not need to participate every day. Create as much or as little as you like.

Works may be created before or during the event. Older or unfinished works are welcome if they fit a prompt.

Late submissions are welcome. This event is meant to be fun and low-pressure.

Content & Accessibility

NSFW, dark, sensitive, and Dead Dove works are welcome, provided they are clearly and accurately tagged and labelled.

Check tags and warnings before engaging with sensitive works, and use filters or blocking to curate your own experience.

Add alt text, image descriptions, captions, or transcripts wherever possible to allow for easier access for all fans.

Do not use Generative AI at any stage of the creative process. We want works created by humans!

Community & Focus

Solavellan Week is a celebration of Solas, Lavellan, and their relationship in all its forms.

Polyamorous relationships and other characters or pairings may be included, but Solas, Lavellan, and their relationship must remain central to the work.

Ship bashing, character bashing, harassment, and attacks on other participants are not welcome.

Respect different Lavellans, identities, headcanons, interpretations, and approaches to canon.

Racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism, and other forms of bigotry will not be accepted.

Do I have to participate every day?

No. We really want everyone to have fun and not stress out. We know there are a lot of fan events - just go at your own pace with what inspires you!

Can I use an older or unfinished work if it fits a prompt?

Yes. While we would love to see new work created we also understand that life is busy for everyone. If you have an older piece of art, fic or something you want to refresh and share again, please do!

What kinds of creative works are welcome?

Any! Short fics, long fics, drabbles, art, virtual photography, video edits, moodboards, screenshots, gifs, take pictures of any crafts you are making or cosplay. If one of the prompts inspired you to make a cake, take a pic and share it too! Anything goes.

Are NSFW, dark, sensitive or Dead Dove works allowed?

Yes. All are welcome, provided they are clearly and accurately tagged and labelled so others can curate their experience.

Are late submissions accepted?

It's Solavellan every day, isn't it? But yes, they are. Just make sure to @ us or tag it #solavellanweek2026 or #solavellanweek and we will reblog it!

Are polyamorous Solavellan relationships welcome? How central do Solas and Lavellan need to be?

Bring on the Solavellan polycules! As long as Solas, Lavellan, and their relationship remain central to the work. We welcome many themes and interpretations and relationships but the spirit of Solavellan Week is about celebrating Solas and Lavellan specifically.

Is this event on other platforms?

This is a Tumblr and Bluesky run event. You can find us here on Bluesky. If you want to share content on other sites such as TikTok or Instagram just use our tags #solavellanweek2026 or #solavellanweek and link back to us here or on Bluesky.

Will there be an AO3 Collection?

Yes, we will open up a collection and share it once we do!

Can I submit more than one work for the same day or prompt?

Absolutely!
