Notes: She has a 'human form' and a 'fish form'. The human form has less prominent scales, human eyebrows, better formed feet and hands, and their fins are scaled back a notch. She can walk, talk, and overall function better on land in this form. Their swimming skills are terrible, however, and human language and customs still need to be taught to her.

Fish form has more prominent fish traits, like longer and larger fins, hands and feet appearing and acting more like fins, and a fully fleshed out tail, separate from her legs. She cannot walk at all in this form, but it is more comfortable for them.

Side notes:

Her "hair" is not really hair, but a lot of floppy fins designed for a more aerodynamic head.

Her hands and feet are also more fin-like in nature. Her feet have very little human anatomy besides a heel to assist with standing. Think of something similar to frogs, but more… fishy. Her hands have webbing and only 4 fingers. They can kind of hold things by cupping them, but not to the degree of a human.

Their teeth are rather small and sharp, like a predator fish. She has a hard time with land food, and prefers to swallow something whole. She can bite off chunks of food, but can't chew.

ok, I drew a character reference sheet at like, 3 am last night, and when I saw the side profiles, they had piss quality. I had to scrap em, so ill do them eventually.

Sexuality: lesbian as fuck, boiii

Gender: doesn’t really understand the concept

Location and number of gills: 1 on each side of her face and 2 on each shoulder, leading to a grand total of 6

Location and number of fins: 2 covering her ear holes (this is fish ears), 2 on forearms (razor sharp, used for hunting and defense), dorsal fin on back (not visible here), tail fin used for directing their swimming, 2 along her ankles.

Abilities: Limb regeneration* (due to being an axolotl**), underwater breathing (duh), good swimmer, can talk to most*** sea life, and night vision.

Notes on abilities:

While she can regenerate, removing a limb is painful, just like in real axolotls, fish, and humans. She can regenerate parts of her brain, but her cognitive function will suffer. And other organs will probably kill them before they regenerate.

She only has some axolotl in her, and most of it is not visible, with only a patch of blue axolotl skin on their face. The ratio of species is probably about 50% fish, 30% human, and 20% axolotl. Their ears are fins, not axolotl gills.

She can’t communicate with, sharks, rays, jellyfish, or sea dwelling species that are not technically fish or axolotl. Not to mention they can always just choose not to listen.

So, today on my fyp, I got a fish oc pause challenge, and I just had to.

Name meaning: Blue in Hindi

Home: Sea cave and surrounding coral reef off the coast of India, in the Arabian Sea

Species: Unspecified fish, axolotl, and human (no race in particular)

Pronouns: She/They/It/They really don’t care

Color palette: sea blue, dark blue, pink, and purple
