the sky above was slowly fading into shades of red, pink, and orange. the sun was setting.
"it's pretty, isn't it?" Woojin asked, setting the blanket he brought with him down onto the grass so the two boys could sit down.
"yeah." felix breathed out. he was awestruck at the beautiful scenery. "how'd you find this place?" felix asked back, eyes glowing and his freckled cheeks on full display. he was in awe of the sunset just in front of him.
it was an almost perfect view, the hill the two boys were on just the perfect height to watch the sun go down below the earth, if one so pleased. everything was stunning, including the boy next to him, but that was for another time. right now, felix wanted to focus on the sun setting just below the treeline.
"oh- uh- just some luck, i guess." woojin said, stuttering slightly at the beginning. it wasn't just luck, though. woojin had been looking for a place to confess to felix. the older boy knew he liked watching the sun set or rise, which ever he could, or both if he could.
felix had only nodded his head, turning back to the beautiful view in front of him. the freckled boy had always found a sense of calmness in the slow set of the sun, the way the colors of the sky changed and mixed into the clouds, making the fluffy flying things in the sky shades of orange and pink, and rarely, red. he liked to watch as the colors of the clouds changed and the sky would become the colors of yellow, orange, and red before darkness completely encased their side of earth, the moon in the sky lighting up just enough for him to see.
"i don't know why," felix started before he could process what he was saying, "but, i've always wanted my fist kiss to be at night or during the sunset." when felix had realized what he'd just confessed, he felt heart rise to his cheeks.
"sudden and very random, but- wait- should i have heard that?" woojin asked, a teasing smile on his lips, but he also did want to know if he was supposed to hear that or not. he turned his head to felix, who was still watching the remains of the sun's rays as there was soon to be only the moon lighting the darkness. his blush was very much there, making him look even cuter to woojin.
"forget i said that, please..." more heat ran to felix's face, this time also coating his neck in a light red shade as well. boy, was he embarrassed.
"felix?"
"yeah?"
"you know you're cute when you blush?" woojin asked, smiling at the younger boy.
"wh- what?" felix blushed more at their sudden proximity.
"you look cute when you blush." woojin said this time, instead of phrasing it as a question.
"i- " felix didn't know how to respond to that. how was he supposed to say something when his crush just called him cute?
"i have something i need to tell you, which is actually why i brought you out here. i-" woojin began, but felix cut him off.
"is it-" felix began, but woojin stopped him.
"no, it's nothing bad. just, listen to me okay?" woojin asked the boy. he only nodded.
"i like you." woojin said, the simplicity of it confusing felix.
"aren't you supposed to like me if we're friends? that's why we're friends?" felix asked confused.
"no, felix. not like that. i like you, more than a friend." woojin said, his voice almost a whisper.
"oh." was all felix managed for a few short moments. "i- i think i like you t- too." felix stuttered through his sentence.
the two were silent for a short moment, the air slightly uncomfortable. it was easy to see so many things were left unsaid, but those things could wait.
"can i kiss you?" woojin asked.
the sun had set, the moon high in the sky. when did that happen? the stars shone down, highlighting feilx's freckles and (very evident) blush. "y- yeah.." felix mumbled and stuttered, his cheeks becoming an even deeper shade of red.
so, woojin moved closer. and closer. and a bit closer until his and felix's faces were only a few centimeters apart. his eyes trailed to felix's lips and then back up. felix gulped and then the gap was closed.
even if the galaxy-cheeked boy had said it was okay, he was still very shocked. nonetheless, the boy kissed back, albeit hesitant and inexperienced.
their lips moved together for a few seconds before woojin pulled away, only to hear a whine from felix. hey, it wasn't his fault woojin's lips were warm and soft! then he realized-
"that was my first kiss..." felix said, his voice was a bit breathless from the kiss, and woojin found it cute how breathless he was.
"that was your first kiss?" woojin asked, clarifying if what he had heard was correct. felix only gave a small hesitant nod in return.
the young boy's eyes began to water and woojin was quick to pull felix into a hug. "why you crying, 'lixie? huh, angel?"
felix just shook his head. he was so happy. his crush confessed to him, fucking finally, he had his first kiss with his favorite person and crush since they met. how was he not happy?
"what's wrong, angel?" woojin tried again. felix held back a sob of happy as he just smiled and held onto woojin tighter.
"nothin' hyungie... 'm jus' really happy." felix admitted.
"why so happy?" woojin asked, it was only a kiss, he really didn't think it could be that special for someone.
"my crush finally confessed, but i'm slightly upset because i wanted to confess first because i had a whole thing planned out, but it's okay. i had my first kiss on the same night, and my favorite person was my first kiss." felix said, his eyes letting go of more tears as he held tighter to woojin if even possible.
"i'm... i'm your favorite person?" woojin questioned, hugging felix with the same amount of tightness felix was hugging him. he felt the boy nod against him and he smiled.
he felt proud to be someone's favorite person. especially felix's favorite person. warmth spread through him, and he felt so happy and content in that moment. until-
"oh, i forgot to ask you one thing." woojin said, he felt just a bit stupid asking the question this late, but- "will you be my boyfriend, lee felix?"
"you idiot, of course." felix said, giving the older a small chuckle before clinging himself to the other male like a koala.
woojin finally looked at the time, seeing it was nearing 2 in the morning. "looks like someone stayed up past his bedtime." woojin said, lifting felix up as he stood.
"you did it yourself. taking me out here so late, knowing i'd get caught up in watching the sun set." felix mumbled, he tried to sound angry, but he only ended up pouting and then yawning right after, so his attempt wasn't very fatal.
"let's get you back to the dorms so you can sleep." woojin said, felix still clung to him like a koala so he picked up the blanket they sat on and dragged it with him as to not disturb felix. at a crosswalk, woojin looked back to see felix sleeping soundly and he noticed a small smile on his lips as he snuggled into the warmth that was woojin.

when the two finally made it back to the dorms, it was only 2:15 am and woojin just hoped chan was awake to let him in. woojin knocked on the door, waiting patiently for someone to open it.
"who is it?" the voice was obviously chan, the sleepiness and very slight accent being anything to go by.
"it's woojin." and the door was opened.
"why did you not grab your keys?" chan asked, his voice laced with so much sleepiness that woojin wanted to pick chan up as well and take him to his room to tuck him in and make sure he fell asleep. "how'd your confession go?" chan asked another question.
"felix is sleeping soundly on my back so i was not about to bother him just to fish out a pair of keys that i didn't have. and the confession went well." woojin smiled as he looked at the sleeping boy again.
"go put him to bed." chan laughed as he saw felix snuggle closer to woojin and woojin let himself smile as well.
"you go on to bed, too, channie. it's probably near 2:30, 3 o'clock by now." woojin said, nodding his head in the direction of chan's bedroom. chan nodded.
"good night, wooj."
"good night, chan."
woojin carried felix to his bedroom, but as he was about to lay felix down on his bed and tuck him in, felix held tighter onto the older boy. "no." he protested. "wanna sleep with hyung." felix mumbled sleepily. it was no secret that felix liked skinship, it was his preferred method of affection. so woojin just sighed, fixed the boy's bed sheets and carried him out of the room, not forgetting to shut the door on the way out.
"yay..." felix trailed off before promptly falling right back asleep. woojin only shook his head at his boyfriend and he carried the boy into his room, laying him down on the bed before getting up to get some more comfortable clothing for the two to sleep in.
felix whined when he felt the movement. "i'm not going anywhere, 'lixie. i'm gonna grab some more comfortable clothes for us to sleep in, alright?" and he saw felix nod.
"want one of hyungie's shirts." felix mumbled.
"i know." woojin chuckled.
he changed his own clothes first, just a t-shirt and some sweatpants. for felix, he grabbed a hoodie that was even a bit big on him.
woojin easily took the boy's shirt off and replaced it with the hoodie and then promptly removed the boy's pants before sliding behind felix and laying on his back, waiting for felix to rest his head on his chest. that was his preferred method of cuddling with woojin, as felix had once said that he was really soft and he was a god pillow. woojin rested his arm around felix's slim waist before kissing the already asleep boy's forehead and wishing him a good night.
woojin allowed his eyes to close as well and he fell into content sleep, a small smile on his lips because he could finally give felix all the kisses and love he deserved.
