The more I think about it, the more I felt for Caleb. He knows MC in this timeline and truly love and care for this MC, OUR MC (along with Dr. Zayne since he doesn't remember any of his past life). People accused him of unnecessary possessiveness but if your fellow test subject who was with you through thick and thin, was experimented, killed and brought back to life over and over again and you were there to witness everything yet your precious young friend didn't remember any of that, still so innocent, naive and full of life everytime she was revived only to be killed again and the cycle continued for God knows how long. Of course he's gonna be possessive. Out of all LIs, only Caleb knows and remembers the gruesome life of our MC that even she herself was kept in the dark. Now that Granny is dead, Caleb is carrying the burden of knowing the dark truth alone. In his route, he is the only one MC has. So, yes. He's possessive for a good, justified reason. He's a red flag because the world turned him into one.
