âThank you,â Beckett said with a nod of acknowledgement. He knew he hadnât always been the most responsible person but that didnât mean he couldnât change and he hoped that this would show Sofia that. He wasnât sure heâd ever be able to get her back but hat didnât mean he couldnât be in her life and Harperâs, âBurgers, okay letâs do burgers. I wonder if the diner is still any good,â He said, âHave you taken her there yet?â Theyâd had many a date in the diner or at least spent a lot of time there. It was reasonably priced and easy to get to and casual and had fast food. What more could teenagers ask for?
SofĂŹa was trying. She wanted to trust in and believe in him but it was easier said than done. Every time she thought about Beckett, thoughts of how he was in high school kept circling her mind. âOh, I hope itâs still good. If itâs gone downhill, Iâll just have to move again.â SofĂŹa exaggerated, a wide smile quickly moving across her features as she thought about the diner and their past dates there. âNot yet, Iâve been cooking for her every night but sheâs already getting sick of my cooking. I donât think Iâve been there since we moved- have you?âÂ
