It wasnât completely her intention to be so negative towards him and his intentions for his business structure but it was weird for her to see him be so organised about it. Maybe she just hadnât noticed it before. âOkay, sorry, sorry.â SofĂŹa said, her hands going up as she talked. âIâll trust you with it.â She spoke, despite the fact that they didnât really need to check in with each other about things like this anymore and ignoring the fact that at times she didnât believe the trust herself. SofĂŹa laughed easily as she watched him trying to get Harper to laugh. She missed this. Watching him interact with their daughter and watching the love between them. âHmm,â SofĂŹa hummed, âWhat are you hungry for? Burgers, maybe?âÂ
âThank you,â Beckett said with a nod of acknowledgement. He knew he hadnât always been the most responsible person but that didnât mean he couldnât change and he hoped that this would show Sofia that. He wasnât sure heâd ever be able to get her back but hat didnât mean he couldnât be in her life and Harperâs, âBurgers, okay letâs do burgers. I wonder if the diner is still any good,â He said, âHave you taken her there yet?â Theyâd had many a date in the diner or at least spent a lot of time there. It was reasonably priced and easy to get to and casual and had fast food. What more could teenagers ask for?
