I got my Merrie Monarch DVD a while back and watched it with Na. Omg, I still cannot believe we were there. AMAZING! I've been thinking lately... bad and good. Thoughts from my mind as I reflect on another year gone by. A few days ago I celebrated my birthday debilitated by illness and have just found time to contemplate. I've come so far and yet sometimes I feel like I've accomplished nothing. Times are tough, but I know things could possibly be tougher. I've broken it down into a few categories. WORK: I know that I'm not anywhere near where I should be, but I feel so lazy to continue sometimes. Is this really want to be and where I put my life? LOL, I don't even know. A few years ago I almost ran away to culinary school. Hahaha, can you imagine? I want to retire already, but I also want to be a freaking boss lady. Shoot. I'll be doing this grind for a hot minute. HULA: The halau as a whole was approached by our "master" or Kumu and she came with a big opportunity... the chance to compete. I've been doing regular shows and the such, but to compete? ...It makes me nervous, and I was to squash the competition. But there's a commitment. Practices close to seven days a week and money for trips and costumes... not to mention flowers. But I want to do it. I want to try before I'm too old to try. FRIENDS: Lately I've been reminiscing about old friends... I miss a lot and I want to say hi but I'm such a goddamn wuss. Even my RL friends have fallen to the wayside. Maybe I cupcake too hard? Maybe I want to just hermit... I just want company sometimes... Bahhhhh.
