New Deltarune/Tenna au I made that kinda just centers around chapter 3 and tv world, but where Tenna gets infected with a parasitic fungus.
Basically it starts out as normal chapter 3, but as time goes on, Tenna starts acting strange, and from then on starts to grow…mushrooms? He shrugs it off, not wanting the lightners and Kris to think he’s broken or something’s wrong with him, but the infection spreads further and further, until eventually Tenna starts to feel hazy, and lose consciousness.
It ends with Tenna being fully taken over by the fungus, with it animating his body as a lifeless corpse with a blank screen that wanders throughout the studio and tv world, spreading its spores and infecting others, turning the dark world into a place full of spores floating through the air and zombie darkners roaming every hallway.
I may make some more concepts for other darkners in the future, but here’s what I have now:
Pippins: They walk around the studio with their eyes dead and their mouth fully open, as if searching for something, but with no real goal other than to wander aimlessly it seems.
Zappers: They still stand by their posts, but don’t ever attack anyone or try to defend anything. They sit there showing no signs of life unless provoked, where they’ll then start attacking anything they can find in a mad rage.
Shadowguys: Like most of the other darkners, they wander tv world in a zombie like trance. But unlike others, they drip a dark ooze from their hat that has an indescribable yet unpleasant smell.
Pipis: Is it alive? Was it ever alive? Whatever the case, now it sits alone in its cabinet with no one to care for it, accumulating a terrible rotten smell, as mold spreads across it due to its current environment.
