MUN: fletcher (goodfriend) OC: Constantine Dempsey AGE: 16 (on paper), actually 10 DIVISION: General Intern, wants to be part of developmental INFO: Joined SODA as an intern after graduating high school early. She's extremely intelligent to the point of incomprehensibility, and has worked hard to be where she is. Instead of going to college, she wanted to prove her worth to herself by being part of SODA first; however, they only just started accepting interns at 16. She forged documents to get in, stopping at nothing to do her best. She wants to do well to make her parents happy, and for them to keep smiling because of her. PERSONALITY: She's a mean and stoic child. She prioritizes results above anything, uncaring if people's feelings get hurt in the meantime. Very immature and bratty. Has a big fear of homesickness that she struggles with privately.

The last thing Porter ever expected out of his life was to end up in the dream job he’d idolized since his early childhood, working for S.O.D.A.

Porter Jackson is the only son of a single mother, a woman who always encouraged him to follow his dreams, no matter how impossible they seemed and no matter that they could barely afford rent that month, or the next, or the next thereafter. Porter’s mother worked hard to ensure her son not only an education, but a lively childhood, and while throughout his school years Porter was very intelligent, he always seemed to fall short. He was often heralded as a child prodigy, winning national achievements and trophies up and through middle school, yet he never cared for the titles he won or the science fair ribbons or the A’s on his tests. As soon as he was able, Porter took a backseat from his affinity for the sciences and forfeited it for the reality of a working-class citizen; against his mother’s wishes he would often hold 2 jobs at a time to make enough money to support them both, and he continued to do this even after graduating High School.

Porter didn’t attend university, although when he could afford he would take workshops or an occasional night class. After his usual 5-9 he began to dabble in the plant sciences, and over the years, he became extremely knowledgeable in the field of botany. He would volunteer in local greenhouses or farms, learning as much as he could and helping his community. Eventually he became somewhat of a public figure, helping to build the largest urban farm for his city - the intention to be not only sustainable, but a place where those in poverty much like himself could have access to fresh food with little expense. Over time, it was so much of a success that S.O.D.A.’s relatively small Botanical department reached out to him and inquired about a position within the organization. From there, the magic happened, and now he’s a resident specialist in both horticulture and biochemistry looking for sustainable solutions to everyday problems on both Earth and beyond!

PERSONALITY:

Porter is a workaholic, often overdoing it and suffering from sleepless nights with at least 4 cups of coffee. He’s compassionate, while being reserved and he’s loyal to a fault. Once he gets comfortable, he opens up a lot more and loves to be the friend that will drop everything to be there for you. He considers himself jaded and lonely, but Porter is much the opposite. He’s the friendly face everyone may not acknowledge, but relies on for help and sincere kindness. In his free time he likes to take care of his many plants and roller-skate in the park.

Jett grew up under the guidance of carefree parents who often neglected responsibilities. He was a curious child that wished to learn as much as he could academically, with a particular interest in mechanics, but his parents often kept him out of school to bring him along with them on their many spontaneous trips. As he grew older, he grew tired of being dragged along to places he had no desire to be and, once he was old enough to take care of himself, he would refuse join his parents. Being as carefree as they were, they didn’t mind him being alone and let him do as he pleased. One day, his elementary school class took a field trip to learn about SODA, and it was that day that Jett had decided that he would work for the organization’s development division. With such selfish parents, he told himself that he would dedicate his life to working selflessly to avoid being like them.

Jett was always a good student in school, graduating top of his class in high school before moving on to one of the top colleges in the country for mechanical engineering. After moving out for college, Jett cut off all contact with his parents, wanting to start a new life for himself where he could focus on his career. During school, Jett applied to work part time in the general division at SODA so that he could get closer to fulfilling his dreams, as well as work to pay off his schooling. Upon graduation, Jett continued to work in the general division, moving up to working full time. However, it wasn’t soon after that the development division noticed his hard work and dedication to his work. As a reward, they gave him a promotion, welcoming him into his dream division where he currently resides to this day.

Although he works on the spacecrafts at SODA during the day, Jett is also working on a personal side project in which he’s trying to research and build machinery that can help life be sustained on non sustainable planets, working towards his goal of bettering the lives of people around him and throughout the entire universe.

Jett isn’t his real name; he despises the name his parents gave him, so he decided to go by a different name when he started college. He chose Jett because he remembers his mother listening to Joan Jett when he was a child, and he remembers it as the only music she played that he enjoyed. He keeps his real name a secret from everyone except those close to him, so basically everyone.

PERSONALITY:

Jett is a very closed off person, keeping a stoic expression on his face most of the time. He either has a hard time showing emotion or does a really good job at keeping it hidden. He doesn’t fancy himself as the type of person to hold close relationships and holds up to this personality by keeping himself buried in his research and work. However, underneath the hard outside, Jett is actually a very sweet and humble person that wants to do his best to make sure that everyone around him is having a good time. From helping coworkers out with their workloads from helping an older citizen with their groceries, Jett loves to help and tends to do it without saying much and without hesitation.
