My neighborhood orb web spider got a flower stuck in its web yesterday. She was working hard. When I walked by later the flower was gone and she was ready for more bugs. #spiderwebproblems

Spiders on my street have been busy. At least four new webs this week in the trees. Prepping the block for Halloween maybe. #web

Cooking again. Going Indian tonight. Lots of garam masala among a few other spices. The rest? Onion, garlic, ginger, carrot, cauliflower, jalapeño, spinach, tomato, garbanzos, and red lentils.

It's called Graveyard Lakes and it did not let down. Was pleasantly surprised to see so much water this late in another drought season. There are six lakes here, but there are at least three more. Gear setup outside this time, the bedroom prep didn't cut it. Luckily there were plenty of signs along the route to get us to our destination, some informational and some marking boundaries. Watching the eclipse Sunday was great, except for some cloud cover that blurred the moon every now and then. A little haze in these, it wasn't easy to get any photos to turn out a decent moon shot during any phase of the eclipse. #lunareclipse (at Graveyard Lakes)
