Paper layering - Waterfall Card This card is to prove to the world that you don't need pricey and branded things to create something cute. I made the base 2years ago and the flaps but never decorated it.. N I didn't like a few things.. So I cut new flaps and reworked on the flap colours . I used an average black cardstock 165gsm and layered it on top of another cardstock because it became flimsy because of the weight. All the patterned papers are origami papers which I obtained from Daiso. 2 different designs 2packs $1 per pack.. 20 pieces sometimes 40 pieces in one pack. I used total 10pieces. 3 types of sticket embellisment 9 let's say in average $1 per pack.. 1 red button from my stash. In the end you still have plenty of patterned paper left for other projects and I still some leftover embellishment. This is just to prove that in general crafting doesn't need to be expensive. It just needs to come from the heart. Stamping will cost more but at least for those who wants to craft for hobby for self satisfaction or those who can't spend much, this is one path you can take. And If I didn't tell you the product costs, will you have known it only costed me less than USD 3 Lastly.. Don't get over ambitious like me, for waterfall cards it needs to be flatter. Art Journal - enjoy the little things I ran out of cards to post.. I think I need to breakfree from creating cards for a few days. So, this was due to a swap that is happening on the Rusty Crown swap. I decided to take part, my first time ever.. Challenge is Journal Page - purple, Green, Yellow/Gold so I decided to go with collaging. Photos are from an old Canon magazine and local site leaf phamplets and a stamp.. I made some of this ephimeras last year, decided to use them in this project. The idea is, we are not the only group people that reside in this world, this little things are part of this world to, enjoy the little things as in their own way they created this ecosystem that we live on... Mixedmedia - Soul Mates Similar to previous card, I used paper napkins that I used to absorb the extra paints. This time I stamped using my own homemade stamps. @grey_seawolf thought of me how to create handmade stamp. Paper layering - Double Z fold I used to be very afraid to experience things with paper pads. To me they are sacrilegious but I have finally managed to snap out of it. I'm trying to make some interactive cards. Made this yesterday. I remembered I had some fun back then.. So decided to go back to basics. 2 years ago I didn't have scoring board now I have, I can create the base really fast. Mixedmedia - Amazing This card is made from the paper napkins that I used to absorb the extra paints. I collected them and pasted on a piece of paper. I had a bunch backgrounds like this made in a drawing pad a long time ago.. My version of handmade paper pads 😂😂😂 saves my time of having to do it each time.. Everytime I want something I just had tear a piece off, until all of it started coming off.. Alright I'm digressing. Coming back to the card, where was I.. Oh yeah... So I cut that into B5 size, rounded the corners, sometimes I'll edge the sides or do touch up but most cases I can use it as it is, like in this case. I had the lace die cut in my stash. Believe me it was scrap as I was testing it with my #nuvomousse black and it was horrible for that project, so I used it here. I also had another circle die-cut with a dark purplish blueish paper which I embossed in the past. It fitted well, so sticked them up. Next embellishment, oooo my paper bouquets I made during my holidays would be perfect I thought, n guess what it was.. I just added another 2 buttons for texture and visual effect. What else, it was missing a butterfly and sentiment. My favorite collection of butterflies are always from @rosiesstudio #rosiesstudio Splendid collection and sentiment was Holo Glitter foam. I layered it on top of a upcycled translucent purple ribbon.. Paper layering - don't let anyone burst your bubble. My initial plan to create using make a splash collection but the paper pad suited here so I just mixed and matched.. 😂😂 I made a multi paper layering card using the scallop design from the paper pad itself. I cut the 6*6 into 3 and cut the scallops out. Layered them on top of each other. I didn't edged the sides, so it didn't have the layered effect.
