After D3rlord3's death, Avery would find some place that would remind him of the knight. It would be quiet there, save for the distant singing of birds, and not a single person for hundreds of blocks. And yet, it was there that Avery wouldn't feel lonely. Despite the walls overgrown with vines and shrubs, it felt cozy and calm. The rays of sunlight filtered through, sufficiently illuminating and warming the room. Avery doesn't tell anyone about this place, though deep down he wants everyone to know about D3rlord3's heroism, because it is thanks to Derek that the world lives as it once did.

Like yeah he lived, we assumed he survived the First Great War, but what do you think happened to him?

Achillean and Ingressus were just gone. Gone without a trace and everyone just assumed they were dead.

Where does that leave Aegus? The man who basically raised the two of them and cared for them like they were his own.

Does he even believe they died? I mean no bodies, no proof they are gone. The songs can convince many, but Aegus? I don’t think so.

This man could have spent the rest of his life not believing either of them died but had no idea what happened and couldn’t mourn because of that.

He died before they came back too. He never knew.
