Snowbarry Contests

A big congratulations and, more importantly, thank you to our Holiday Giving Contest Winner: @snowbarry2k15​!

As the holiday season approaches, so do warm-cozy feelings of friendship, family and love. Why not capture that with the creativity of our Snowbarry family?

The Contest | The contest theme will be giving, which leaves it open to whatever holiday(s) you choose to celebrate and hopefully opens the fun up to lots of interpretations. Submissions will be accepted through noon (CST) December 18th. Later that day, I’ll post up voting links, which will be open through midnight (CST) December 23rd. Winners will be announced and contacted sometime early the 24th. Winners will have a few prize options (tbd).

We’ll have 3 contest areas to welcome snowbarry fans of all creative types. Categories will be: Fanfic, Image/Gif Set and Video.

The Rules | For the sake of fairness and clarity, please follow the rules below:

Original, non-reposted works please (in all categories).

Absolutely no hate/racism/character bashing--that’s definitely not in the spirit of our theme. Keep it positive!

You can enter multiple contest areas: share all your awesome talents!

Works can be inline with canon, canon divergent or au--we’re not fussy, but they must be original and belong to you.

Please include the theme in some way (which is, again, giving). It’s vague, so interpret as you will and you’re welcome to be creative in the holiday portion too! Thanksgiving through New Years and anything in between!

To Enter | To be considered in the contest and be included in voting, please complete the following:

Submit a link to your story, image/gif set or video to snowbarry contests prior to noon (CST) on 12/18/15.

Tag your submission with SBGivingContest to help folks find them more easily leading up to the contest (in the first five please).

When submitting, include a title for your work (whichever kind), the submission category, a link and your name for easy reference.

If you have any questions at all, you can ask here or direct them to my main account (chasingblue57) and I’ll happily address them (but please direct submissions only to the contest blog, just makes my life easier).

As always, everyone is welcomed and encouraged to enter. I’ve never run a contest that was more than fics but I’m hoping this helps give some recognition to the rest of our talented Snowbarry folks out there and brings fun to those who prefer to enjoy rather than create.
