I still can't believe the best Arcane character is so hated. Even if he's not your favorite, there's literally no reason to hate him when he's LITERALLY the best person in the whole damn show. He's not perfect at all, but come on!
*Racism*
Honestly, what's next? Kicking puppies?
Sending hate mail to Ekko's VA is so pathetic. People have so much time to hate and write mean comments online, cowards. I don't understand people who say the ship is homophobic. I'm a fucking lesbian, and no, I don't like bananas being stuffed in my donut (sorry if that sounded rude), but liking the couple doesn't make me any less lesbian, thank you very much. The funny thing is, a lot of queer women love this couple.
I'm starting to think it's all just absolute trolling by some unhappy guy, like those who comment nasty things on YouTube to purposefully piss off the audience. Otherwise, this generation hasn't grown up at all.
(And yes, this is a comment to vent about what happened with Vi replacing Ekko, hate doesn't work ladies and gentlemen, it only shows how rotten you are inside to believe that this is okay)
Twitter arcane sucks
One day I will find the perfect Timebomb fanfic, and if I donât, then I pray that my creative block will free me
On the topic of Timebomb i just read a fic that was the most edible fic ive read in a hot minute. Its a hurt/comfort break up fic, but its also a unplanned pregnancy trope with one night stands and its in a modern setting and both Jinx and Ekko are dense and miscommunication occurs. Its called What Remains, its on Ao3 and i read all 32k words in half an hour. It was a little confusing at points so im gonna reread it and it is unfinished so its still getting updates. Its by Lumina347, i have no idea if she has a tumblr or not but thats her ao3 account

I could cry...
Why is that so sexy??..
On the one hand Silco ABSOLUTELY DID NOT deserve what Vander did to him, it was absolutely horrific and he is such a tragic character.
On the other hand, given how this mf monologues constantly and makes it his life mission to cause maximum psychic damage to anyone he interacts with at all times, it's a bit of a shock he didn't get throttled sooner

we should've gotten something more romantic for the music video.
jinx was in pain. she didn't need romanticisation, she needed understanding. comfort. and that's what ekko gave her. the cues of intimacy are so easily spotted within the music video. we didn't need a big spontaneous love gesture, because that's so out of character for both of them, especially considering jinx's state.what we got out of the music video was the understanding that ekko was jinx's rock during the time they spent together. and personally, i think that's more romantic and tender than any making out we couldve seen. because ekko loved her at her highest and her lowest.
Didnt i cry enough ? Bordel de merde

WE AACTUALLY GET WHAT HAPPENS IN THE NEW MUSIC VIDEO
YEAH WE DO !!
I'll get over it, someday. Maybe. Maybe not. Probably not. Definitely not...
A lot of people have been TimeBomb shippers since Jinx was introduced in 2013, others shipped them after the Bridge. For me it all clicked into place with Season 2 Act 3. I love Episode 7, but what happened was I started thinking about that beautiful unknown between Ekko saving Jinx and them diving into battle together. Did they reconcile? Did they apologise to each other? Did they express their true feelings? Did Jinx feel the same way? Did they agree to be... something, for what little time they had left? I started yearning for Mainverse Jinx and Ekko to be together once and for all, but I also treasured that pain of knowing they wouldn't be. TimeBomb, for me, is a sweet forever open wound, a longing for, as Sting says, what could have been.
When did you become a TimeBomber? What aspect of their relationships fascinated you the most when you started?
Not knowing anything about Ekko and only vaguely about Jinx before the first season dropped, for me it was a combination of their scenes in the Enemy MV and the bridge fight.
The friends to enemies (to lovers?) dynamic hooked me immediately.
For me, it was accidentally reading the best TimeBomb fic known to the fandom, My Boy Savior. Definitely did the trick...
Been rotating that last episode in my head

AoT Analysis - Eren & Reiner (Spoilers)
Locked within the walls of the Shiganshina district, Eren and the Reiner have their second, and I think final, showdown. This rematch has been a long time coming, and after everything thatâs happened, I believe it is very important that Eren defeats Reiner here.
The walls create a sort of caged match for the two â thereâs no running away, and it is highly unlikely that Bertolt will be able to bail Reiner out like last time due to Arminâs advice. It seems fitting that Shiganshina, the place where the two first met, be the place where their conflict comes to its climax.
Eren and Reiner have perhaps the most complex rivalry in the series. Itâs more pronounced than Mikasa vs Annie or Levi vs Kenny because Eren and Reinerâs story is the tale of the fallen friend. Eren and Annie had a similar relationship of mutual respect and friendship, but Reiner was more than a friend or mentor to Eren; he was his brother and idol. Before Levi even showed up, it was Reiner that Eren idolized most and wanted desperately to be. His courage, leadership, strength, wisdom and especially his kind heart inspired Eren during a time when the world was cruel for an orphaned boy. Meanwhile, in Eren, Reiner found a kindred spirit of a soldier. Despite his identity as a Titan-shifter, deep down Reiner really does value the things he stood for as a trainee. He was so convinced he and Eren were like-minded that he presumed Eren would be completely on board with being captured if it meant protecting humanity, which Reiner also grew fond of.
Both Eren and Reiner are defined by their determination. Both seek to reclaim their former homes and will do anything in their power to do so. They are both passionate soldiers, inspire their teammates with courageous words, and have proven willing to sacrifice themselves if it meant protecting a friend (Eren for Armin, and Reiner for Connie). They are different sides of the same coin. They both even have a childhood friend with self-esteem problems!
I predicted a long time ago that Reiner will not survive the series, and I think his fate is close at hand. Whether or not Eren is the one who ends him, Iâm not sure, but as a character, Reiner serves as a sort of shadow to Eren, being the man he wants to be, but at the same time fighting for a cause Eren could never approve of. I hope Eren will decisively defeat Reiner this time rather than be interrupted by someone. It is important that Eren prove how far he has come as both a Titan-shifter and person by overcoming (in my opinion) his greatest rival and his greatest inspiration.
Ch.75 has Eren showcasing his new hardening abilities, adapting the Female Titanâs fighting style of quick dodges and hard, crystallized strikes. Reiner also seems to have a few hidden tricks up his sleeve, as seen when he produced armored claws to scale the walls with and also having flexible control over his brain activity to survive lethal spine severing. I think back to Ch.16 with trainee Reiner giving Eren advice for his 3DMG and encouraging him not to give up, to stick with the soldier path. Itâs all been leading to this. Iâm looking forward to how the fight will progress and where Reinerâs story leads. I hope you enjoyed reading!
âJe t'aimeâ in Ma Meilleure Ennemie being the only time âI love youâ is said in the whole show.
Another win for the team
When you're looking at me
I swear, this is 100% what I picture in my mind when I write "his forehead resting against hers", I'm a sucker for it, I've put it at least 10 times in my fics, but I've seen it once, I can't unsee it...
As an absolute Timebomb lover, I feel ashamed.
u/Fluid-Canary-6942 on Reddit pointed out that Ekkoâs jump in the intro was the same as his jump in 107.
Looks familiar ?
But if you go a little further, itâs not just the jump, itâs the whole scene. You can see Jinx shooting in the direction of Ekko, with the exact same color palette too.
The line pointing towards him is the same line he jumps over.
I wouldn't say I feel stupid buuuuut...
I have wrecked my brain looking for all the references possible in the intro to famous paintings and plays, mostly for Shakespeare and found none for Ekko. There we got the reason, I can finally restâŠ

People talking about âhow can you criticize Caitvi for being toxic when timebomb literally tried to kill each otherâ PISS ME OFF so bad
Jinx and Ekko were on OPPOSITE SIDES OF A WAR
No shit theyâre trying to fucking kill each other
Nothing romantic happened until well after a lot of growth for both characters (and even then it was in an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE)
Timebomb had history togetherâthey were childhood best friends
Meanwhile Caitlyn HIT VI even though theyâre on the same side (unprompted, they were arguing and not in a physical fight, thatâs called abuse), asked her to become an enforcer KNOWING her trauma, and never apologized for a single thing she did
And all of this within at the very most a few months of knowing one another
Itâs almost likeâand hear me outâVi fucking trauma bonded to the first person to show her kindness after being beaten and abused in a prison cell for 7 years
The difference between the ships is that for one, they BOTH tried to kill each other, it was even. For the other, itâs just one sided. Caitlyn in no way deserves Vi and Iâm tired of acting like itâs such an amazing ship just cause itâs wlw
As a wlw myself, we deserved better representation than this half assed attempt at romance, season 1 caitvi was absolutely amazing, season 2 ruined it
They werenât on opposite sides of a war. Ekko was from the underground. Jinx was from the underground. Theyâre both for the same thing, just with vastly different methods of getting there.
Caitlyn hits Vi in the stomach in a moment of frustration after a moment of INTENSE emotional turmoil. Much in the same way Vi hits Powder in season 1. Itâs not abuse, because abuse is SYSTEMIC. Was it bad? Absolutely. Was it domestic abuse? No. Fuck off.
Meanwhile Jinx literally kills Ekkoâs firelight friends without giving them a second thought. In one moment sheâs actually laughing and enjoying killing them. Like these are two VERY different things and the context around them is so important.
Personally Iâm tired of people giving Jinx a pass and pretending Caitlyn is irredeemable. Jinx literally murders people. Get a grip of yourself.
They WERE on opposing sides
Ekko and the Firelights were vehemently against the Shimmer trade, taking down Silco and eradicating Shimmer from the streets of Zaun was their biggest goal, even before tackling the conflict with Piltover
Jinx didnât care about liberating Zaun, that was Silcoâs goal. She worked for Silco because he cared about her, and she wanted to prove herself to him.
Ekko and the Firelights are always the ones to attack Jinx/Silcoâs goons first, obviously they have good reason to, but Jinx isnât just hunting them out and killing them like a lot of you people seem to suggest
Caitlyn hitting Vi and Vi hitting Powder are entirely different things. For one, Vi was a CHILD when she hit Powder. Probably around 15/16, Caitlyn is a grown ass woman who should know better, she was in the wrong in every way in that situation
The worst part arenât her actions, itâs her lack of remorse. Grief doesnât excuse any of her actions, and she shouldnât get a free pass because of that.
Jinx doesnât âget a passâ sheâs a fucking VILLAIN. Caitlyn is supposed to be a âheroâ, thatâs why theyâre held to different standards. We donât expect Jinx to be a good person because she doesnât parade around pretending her actions are for the good of anyone, because theyâre not.
Their character arcs are entirely different, Jinx is supposed to be a (somewhat) redeemed villain, Caitlynâs bad actions were just not addressed at all because sheâs supposed to be portrayed as a good person, which sheâs not.
Thatâs not to say she isnât redeemable, but she sure as hell isnât any better for Vi than being around Jinx is
Youâre also seeming to forget that Jinx is not mentally stable. Donât even bring up the âwell neither was Caitlyn at the timeâ bs because grief and schizophrenia, bipolar/borderline personality disorder, and psychosis are not even close to being the same thing. Jinxâs actions are fuelled by her emotional regression due to her trauma, which is such a huge part of her character that people always seem to ignore. She needs help, but unlike Caitlyn she doesnât have the resources to access proper care for her issues.
Of course sheâs killed Ekkoâs comrades, but again, the Firelights were an Undercity Gang directly opposing Silcoâs reign, he knew what he was facing. Heâs able to look past that because if you apparently missed the entire point of episode 7, we know Jinx would have turned out differently if she had help available to her, and I cannot stress enough that Caitlyn DID have doctors and professionals to help her through the grief of her mothers death, and instead chose to become Caitler
After seeing how the oppression in Zaun led to such drastic measures such as BOMBING the council being made, instead of seeing how the system was setting Zaunites up for lives of drug use, starvation, and homelessness, she decided that all Zaunites were inherently evil and the girl who needs antipsychotics is the root of every bad thing to happen to Piltover.
So logical, so heroic.
Ekkoâs face card is phenomenal.
