“Here...” Satin whispered and leaned in to press his lips to Jon’s cheek. It was a soft, sweet, lingering thing and nothing more. Jon’s eyes were closed when he pulled away. “Just that for tonight.”

There was a beat of heavy silence that sat over them before Jon opened his eyes. They darted across Satin’s face before settling on his own dark eyes. “Aye. Just that.” He said, and Satin saw a small enigma of a smile coming to the corners of Jon’s lips. It was somehow warm and affectionate, sad and somber, and nervous and shy all at once, like the smile of a young man who had just been kissed at a dance for the first time but couldn’t stay. Jon tilted the top of his head forward just a bit and brought their foreheads together, noses meeting in the middle. They breathed against each other for a moment and Satin could feel Jon's thumb pressing ever so gently into the hollow of his neck and along his collarbone. It made his heart hitch. “For tonight.”
