Whoa - first wav since December! Hope it was worth the wait.
POV: I just get home and have had a long day. I'm ready for date night with my one and only. You come and give me a big hug, and my nose instantly reacts to whatever it is you're wearing. You hold the hug long enough to really set me off - and I have no idea why! You ultimately lead me to the bedroom where I'm about to discover just what sneezing does to you - how interesting...
If you liked this, feel free to leave a comment - it may motivate me to try to get back into a regular flow of things. If not, I love you all anyways!

The other side of the bed was empty when he awoke. He made no sound - swamped with muck and fever, the world like a thick painting of greys and blues. And she wasnât there on the other side of the bed, where she shouldâve been. Curious.Â
He heaved his sweating, aching form upright, facing the empty unlit bathroom. A streetlight in the window dotted yellow like a bright star. Dull pain swam in his head. A heavy combination of nasal congestion, and perhaps dehydration, and any number of things⌠Soreness in it all. Breathing, against a course of inflammation and mucus.Â
â*snrk* âŚ. *âgrmm*âŚâ
He found himself standing some moments later, in the upstairs hallway. In a checkpoint of sorts, head still swimming. He dragged his feet to the stairs, and descended them in slow steps, clinging to the railing.
A lamp was on in the living room.
â*sdrff!*â He stood at the bottom of the stairs, still holding onto the railing. The air was cooler downstairs - somehow making the streaming of his nose more apparent. â*sndrff*âŚâ
There was a tissue box on the coffee table in front of the sofa. And on the sofa, there was a lump of blankets, and from the lump of blankets, came a peculiar sound. Slowly, he shuffled closer.Â
The blanket pile groaned softly as he reached the sofa. From an opening in the fabric, her face peeked out, half-obscured with a rumpled tissue. Making the same strange muffled sounds as before, her body shuddered beneath the blankets, as she muffled sneeze after wet sneeze into the tissue in her palm.
He sank down next to her on the sofa, not trusting his face not to burst with pain if he bent over. He pulled the tissue box nearer. His hand found her shoulder on top of the layered blankets as she sat in a dizzy interlude, panting through parted lips. Her head hung, causing her hair to fall into her face. Carefully, he lifted a hand and moved back the unruly strands.
Her face crumpled with a closed-eyed scowl as- âiyYâISSCHhiuh!â another sneeze came, misting his hand. She lifted the damp tissue to sneeze again, over and over, intense and less smothered than before. âhuUdâISCHHh!! uhtâISSCHH!!-isschh!!-isschhioo!!â Suddenly, he turned away from her and let out a harsh, spraying sneeze, too quick to consider covering.
âhdtâzZZSCHHhioo-!!â He sniffled liquidly, and coughed, blinking teary eyes. She huffed an awful, wheezy shell of her laugh. The âBless youâ sounded worse. The urge was still strong, making his breath snag. She was pressing a tumbleweed of tissues into his hand, which he only had time to lift before a fierce second sneeze burst from him. A desperate exclamation, grazing his raw throat and soaking the layers of tissue. âhaADâTCHIEWWhh!!!â He pulled more to blow his nose, making a noise he couldâve compared to a brass solo in a sad andante.Â
As he sat quietly, blinking in reset, he felt her head sink onto his shoulder. She drew a thick, liquid sniffle. The warmth that emanated from her was both pleasant and concerning. He let the side of his head rest gently against hers.
simmer pot-smelling detergents arenât made for everyone.
âhhih⌠hiHâeTZSschh!â
Kaveh wakes himself up with a sneeze that sends a shudder twisting down his spine. He sits up in bed, sniffling, and lifts a hand to shield the sunlight that bleeds through the thin linen curtains of the palladian windows. His other hand he uses to swipe at his nose â he finds heâs been congested for a while now.
The blonde scrubs at his eyes, yawning, and slumps forward with a lethargic sigh. Ever since heâs moved in with the Akademiaâs renowned Scribe, life hasnât been all too torturous for the architect, fortunately. Heâs gotten accustomed to the warmth of a roof over his head again, and sleep comes much easier than it has in months. Still, the path of financial recovery proves no easy journey for anyone in debt, and Kaveh works extremely hard, so the man is tired nevertheless.
Today, heâs set to work on blueprints for his next commissioned project â not before he makes his rounds tidying up his roommateâs home, of course â but the sunâs just come up, and heâd spent the last night up terribly late, drafting designs in nightâs advance.
Iâm going to go back to sleep, he thinks to himself. He sniffles again and rubs the side of his nose with the back of his hand. He considers laying back down, to sleep off the apparent congestion and wait until the sun settles deeper into the day. A bit more rest wouldnât hurt, he concludes. At least Iâll have more energy to work into the eveningâ
ââSeems youâre up early for once, Kaveh.â
Kaveh nearly startles and turns his head to the right; in his sleepiness, heâd almost completely disregarded the man who shared the room with him. Alhaitham is up, one leg crossed over a knee as he sits at the right side edge of the bed, book in hand. Unlike Kaveh, âNight-Owlâ of Kshahrewar, Alhaitham is a morning person.
As per the newly-appointed Acting Grand Sageâs updated daily routine: Alhaitham wakes up early, showers, and makes breakfast (for two) â all just in time to toss his roomie a witty remark before making his way out the door. (Sometimes, the man likes to switch it up and check âwitty remarkâ off the to-do list first, but it makes no difference:
The early bird gets the first bite, as always.)
âOh, shut up, âHaitham.â Kaveh crinkles his nose. Itâs too early for this. The blonde leans back, pulls up the covers, and turns away.
âââ
Kaveh finds himself sneezing sporadically throughout the morning. His eyes, by now, burn with stinging irritation and take on an even more irritatingly red appearance. He canât see well enough to find out whatâs causing his reaction, so he resolves to attempt to retrace his steps with his mind instead.
Was there a draft in the bedroom last night? Did I leave the window open? It must be the dust. But I changed the sheets yesterday⌠and I did wipe down the bookshelves this morning- oh, I canât possibly be sick, can IâŚ? NoâŚ. no, now is not the time, Kaveh. You have four clients this month. Of all times, you cannot beâ
âhhiHâieESCHh-! hiIh-!â Poor Kaveh is interrupted out of his thoughts. âiDTâGZSCHh-hh! nghh..â
Heâd woken up with the itch already deep in his sinuses, so he could only assume heâd been congested through the night as well. Kaveh rubs at his nose in agitated vigor and wipes his reddened eyes from the moisture that threatens to return every other breath.
The architect exhales, defeated. Today⌠is going to be a long day.
âââ
Kaveh is blowing his nose in the kitchen when the front door unlocks with a click.
âIâm home,â a voice calls, and Kaveh can hear the door lock again, followed by the jingle of house keys that soon get muted with a clasped fist. Clothing fabric brushes against the floor as someone bends down at the doorwayâitâs Alhaitham, removing his shoesâand moments later, the figure is heading towards the kitchen.
Kaveh, still occupied with his affliction, doesnât turn around. âHey,â he offers, in lieu of proper acknowledgment. He wads up the damp tissue heâs been using, gives his nose a final swipe, and tosses it into the trash can. He reaches for another one, but hesitates as his roommate comes into view.
âihDTâTSschih-! hnGâNGXtt! sdff!â
Alhaithamâs soundproof earpieces are still on as he enters the room. As excellent as they are at muting noise, his eyes do not fool him. He can tell what his roommate is doing, even with his back turned â the deep bending motion as he wrenches forward with a sneeze, the animated shudders that run down his exposed back and shoulders as he gears up for another one.
Heâs tired, Alhaitham observes, turning the device off. He takes a seat at the dining table. âHey,â he replies, almost concerned. ââWhatâs up with you?â
âWhadt do you thibk?â Kaveh retorts, hand still clasped to his face with tissues. The itch is still burning like coal in a firebox, and he rubs it vehemently.
âClientâs perfume again?â
âLike Iâbe seed adyone. Havedât left the house, gedious.â Noseblow.
âSomeoneâs got a short temper today.â
Kaveh massages his forehead with a hand, and takes another sharp sniffle. âIâve just been.. sneezing like this all day, Alhaitham,â he grumbles, still heavily congested. âItâs given me a migraine. But now that youâre home, youâre going to make it worse!â
Alhaitham watches as Kavehâs hands are thrown out by his usual expressive habit. They return just as quickly to his face to quell the itch that has forced itself upon him again. He finds it amusing, his roommates movements. Kaveh always gets so pouty when heâs upset. Itâs quite endearing, actually.
Both hands are at his head now, rubbing his temples in lethargic circular motion. Heâs propped his elbows up on the dining table, and heâs leaning in forwards, bracing nearly the entirety of his upper body against the tableâs wood.
Heâs quite tired.
âI should sleep, maybe,â Kaveh thinks aloud, as if heâd heard his roommateâs thoughts. âAlthough⌠Iâve tried that already, and it doesnât help. In fact, I think gets worse. I really donât get it, the dust shouldnât be be that terrible. I did the laundry last evening.â
Alhaitham blinks. Ah.
âThe bedsheets.â
âhh..htT-GZSHh-hh! snf! I said I washed them. What about them?â
âThe bedsheets, Kaveh,â Alhaitham repeats.
Ah. Kavehâs mouth gapes open. There it was, then! But how?
âItâs simple. Youâre allergic to the detergent. I thought it was a coincidence, since I switched the tablets out yesterday.â Alhaitham pauses and gets up from the table, disappearing from the kitchen. He returns just a moment later, with a couple of detergent tablets in his hand. He holds the hand out, all the while maintaining a safe distance between the culprit and the man with the affliction.
âThese. You used them, didnât you?â
Kaveh reaches forward to take the tablet for inspection, but Alhaitham retracts his hand.
âI did. But I wonder why I couldnât smell it.â He pauses to consider; perhaps heâd been too congested all last night and this morning to register the detergent scent a possibility. âHow did you know?â
Alhaitham doesnât answer. I didnât expect you were this allergic, he thinks to himself. He turns around and starts back towards the hallway, still looking at the tablets as if heâs in the middle of considering something. Maybe he plans on throwing it away.
âNo, no, itâs okay! We can keep it. Things probably smell good with it anyways.â You probably smell good with it anyways, is what Kavehâs mind corrects. He physically fans the thought away with his hand, but only because the tickle has returned.
âThatâs masochistic,â The other man replies, lacing the thread between sarcasm and seriousness.
Unbeknownst to Kaveh, heâd gotten the tablets on purpose. Itâs a custom-crafted fragrance, a combination of his favorite autumn scents; a simmerpot of mulled cider and pine, and a sprinkle of other spices. To Alhaitham, this is what Kaveh smelled like⌠warm yet subtle, like summer slipping into fall. Though, he canât have the man sneezing from something that was meant for him. That would be inconvenient for both of them.
âHa! Letâs put it this way,â Kaveh quips suddenly, snapping Alhaitham from thought. âIâd⌠rather be allergic to you for a while than put it to waste.â
This surprises Alhaitham. For someone who canât handle his spices, Kaveh definitely loves to sprinkle his life with flavor. Or perhaps he feels bad, having lived under the scribeâs roof for this long. The scribe doesnât press on it. He likes Kaveh and the warmth to the house he brings; it doesnât matter to him either way.
Heâs snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of the architectâs voice.
âYou know what? Iâm just going to pretend you did this on purpose!â The man starts up again, only to twist away with another shuddering sneeze.

Hello everyone!! I had the absolute PLEASURE of doing a collab with the wonderful @hachiibun who did the visuals for my very first wav here on Tumblr! I plan on making a few more like this, so gen/shin wlw enjoyers, drink your juice! All voices are done by yours truly!
Come get your food!! Fr tho, they are really good at voice work, so everyone listening is in for a treat! Thanks for bringing me on board with this! We have more in the works... đ
this is actually from october, but what better way to start off the new year than with a new wav featuring my perfect, sexy girlfriend? i did my best to keep my sneezing to a minimum so i could focus on @sapphicsnzs and her gorgeous build ups and pre-sneeze expressions, but my own nose got the better of me lolâso enjoy us going back and forth blessing each other and trying to keep up with the others sneezes <3
for context/those who donât know, i have honeymoon rhinitis and being horny makes me sneeze uncontrollably, and nothing makes me more horny than my girlfriends sneezes. so itâs safe to say that even though she was the only one who got to partake in the chhinkni fun this time, we both did our fair share of sneezing (i was recovering from a very recent sinus procedure and could not induce)

well,, it's late but at least i got it done faster than i did the last time!! w/anderer b-day fic is a go-
word count: 3k
The Wanderer discreetly separated himself from the rest of the party, harshly rubbing at his nose as he stepped out onto the much quieter balcony. He eyed the flowers that had been tied around the balconyâs rails with distaste, then let out a sigh.Â
For the past week people had been preparing for the Dendro Archonâs birthday, stringing up decorations left and right. In the Wandererâs opinion, theyâd severely overdone it. Especially with the flowers. The pollen levels in the city had been intolerable for the past few days, and was borderline unbearable now that Nahidaâs actual birthday was in full swing.Â
Not that he was going to actively complain about it. The birthday girl herself seemed quite pleased with everything, after all.Â
The Wanderer wasnât having a good time though, that was for sure.Â
Hell, it was to the point where heâd even gone through the trouble of sneaking into the Akademiya Nurseâs office and stealing some allergy pills this morning. Normally he wouldnât bother, as most medications didnât have a very strong effect on him anymore, but today was just-Â
âHhâIShKiu!!â The sneeze snuck up on him too fast for him to even attempt to stop it. The resulting burst of anemo rustled the nearby decorations, and he quickly stifled the following sneeze into silence.Â
âOh, there you are!âÂ
The Wanderer stiffened, lowering his hand away from his face as fast as he could. Sethos hurried over to him, stopping just inches away from him. Way too close. The Wanderer took half a step back, not that Sethos seemed to notice.Â
âI was wondering where you went.â Sethos said, âWas the party getting too loud for you?âÂ
â...I simply had my fill of putting up with those annoyances.âÂ
âSure sure sure. Well, do you mind if I stay out here with you until you feel like going back in?âÂ
âAnd what, exactly, makes you think I plan on going back in there?âÂ
â...The fact you havenât left yet?â Sethos tilted his head to the side with an innocent smile on his face. âNormally when youâre really done with people you vanish entirely, but youâre still here, soâŚâÂ
âŚSometimes the Wanderer really hated how easily Sethos seemed to understand him. He avoided eye contact, looking out at the night sky, and thus missed the moment when Sethosâ expression shifted to one of slight concern.Â
âHey, are you okay?â Sethos asked.Â
â...Fine.â The Wanderer glanced back at him, nervousness striking him as he registered the look on Sethosâ face. âWhy would you even ask?âÂ
âYou keep uhâŚâ Sethos mimed rubbing at his nose with one hand, and the Wanderer abruptly realized that, oh, he was doing that.Â
He lowered his hand away from his face again, but unfortunately that had the consequence of-Â
âHihh-â The Wanderer turned away, tilting his hat down to hide his face better as he- âHhânNxtii!! Heh- hiHâxNtiu!! Hh⌠hHNâxTii!! HhâINkshiu!!âÂ
The wind blew strong enough to knock some of the flower decorations off the railing, sending them fluttering down to the ground below. Sethos looked down at them, and then back at the Wanderer, who was still turned away.Â
â...Hat Guy, are you-âÂ
âIâm leaving.âÂ
âWh- hey, wait!âÂ
Sethos reached out to grab him- but was just a moment too late, as the Wanderer activated his halo and took off.Â
~
Sitting in the corner of the rafters of the Sanctuary was only a marginally better position than the one the Wanderer had been in before. Only marginally, of course, because he was inside.Â
It wouldâve been a lot more than marginally better if Lesser Lord Kusanali hadnât decided to decorate the rafters and ceiling with her oh so beloved plants as well.Â
Still, even despite the disgustingly sweet scent of the flowers playing with his nose, the Wanderer stayed in place. There was a reason he hadnât immediately retreated to his room, after all.Â
The sound of the doors opening interrupted his thoughts, and he held his breath as Nahida padded into the Sanctuary. Her arms were filled with candies- and of course, with even more flowers. It was to the point that some of them were falling out of her grip, leaving a small trail of flowers and candies behind her. The Wanderer rolled his eyes, knowing heâd likely be the one responsible for cleaning that up later.Â
Sure enough, it did not take her long to notice the rather obvious box that had been placed in the center of the room. Setting her armful of things to the side, she curiously walked up and opened it- and let out an excited little gasp as she pulled out a shiny golden diadem, looking it over and admiring the details before placing it upon her head.Â
The Wanderer relaxed slightly. She liked it. Good, he hadnât spent weeks learning the slightly more complex methods of forging jewelry for nothing.Â
(It was a much more delicate process than that of forging a sword, but the Wanderer had found himself liking it nonetheless).Â
Of course, he ended up stiffening up again as Nahida started looking around.Â
âWandererrrrr!â She called, âI know youâre in here somewhere!âÂ
The Wanderer shifted a little, hiding himself deeper in the shadows.Â
Of course, that was the exact moment his body decided to rebel against him.Â
The tickle that heâd been trying to ignore all day suddenly turned into a more stinging, burning sensation that cut right through the Wandererâs attempt at keeping his breathing shut down. His breath hitched, and he covered his mouth with his hand, trying to muffle it.Â
âHih⌠hH-â He managed to stifle the first sneeze into silence, as well as the second. But the third⌠âHhâNxtTii!!âÂ
Shit.
âThere you are!âÂ
Double shit.Â
The Wandererâs eyes snapped open to be faced with Nahida standing on the rafter he was sitting on. âŚShe mustâve teleported up as soon as she heard himâŚÂ
Nahidaâs excited smile faded as she finally got a good look at him.Â
â...Are you okay?â She asked, âYouâre crying.âÂ
The Wanderer blinked- and then hastily wiped the allergic tears off of his face as he stood up.Â
âIâm fine.â He hissed, before slightly softening his tone. Only slightly, of course. âYou shouldnât be up here, youâre going to fall, you dunce-âÂ
He picked her up, fully intending on floating them back down to the ground.Â
Big mistake.Â
He shouldâve known that she would be covered in pollen.Â
With his hands full of one heavily pollinated dendro archon, the Wanderer was left with no choice but to snap his head to the side as fast as he could, sneezing away from her.Â
âHihHâiKShii!! HhâShkii!! HhEh- hEHâIShiu!! âKshiu!!â The burst of anemo that swept through the area was enough to knock down some of the decorations, sending them tumbling to the floor. Nahida herself gripped on to her diadem, making sure it wouldnât get sent askew as she stared at the Wanderer in shock.Â
âAre-â She started, her ears drooping slightly with realization. âAre you allergic?âÂ
All the plants in the room seemed to visibly wilt slightly at her question, and the Wanderer internally panicked.Â
âSnf- ugh, n-noohH- hiHâinKShii!!â Was his very unconvincing answer. Nahida gave him an extremely unimpressed look in response, which would have been way more effective if the Wanderer wasnât currently holding her up off the ground like a dangling cat. Still, her expression made the Wanderer wince, and he used a moments pause between sneezes to jump off the rafter, using anemo to soften their fall instead of floating down like he had previously intended. Doing this messed up Nahidaâs hair more than it was already, but she didnât bother trying to readjust it, instead continuing to stare at the Wanderer as he set her back down on the ground so that he could free his hands.Â
He harshly rubbed at his nose, trying to make the itch go away.Â
Nahida was still staring at him.Â
Not being able to think of any other response, the Wanderer decided to just stare back, keeping the side of his hand pressed against his nose.Â
Nahida crossed her arms.Â
The Wanderer did his best to glare at her despite his vision starting to get blurry from unshed allergic tears.Â
Nahida was still staring at him-Â
The Wanderer unwillingly broke the staring contest as his eyes slipped shut-Â
âHhâKshii!!â The sneeze slipped out before he could stifle it, and he let out a quiet groan as more decorations got knocked down by the resulting gust of wind.Â
âYou are allergic.â Nahida said, her tone sounding final. â...So youâre the one who broke into the nurseâs office this morningâŚâÂ
âI wasnât- do you expehH- âŚexpect me to be responsible for every c-crime in Sumer-hHâShiiu!!âÂ
âBless you!âÂ
The Wanderer shuddered at the feeling of divine dendro energy washing over him. Nahida at least seemed to realize what sheâd done if the apologetic look she was giving him was any indication.Â
â...Putting possible criminal activities to the side-â She said, â-why didnât you tell me?âÂ
The Wanderer looked away from her, refusing to be lured into answering by her wide green puppy dog eyes. Jeez, what was it with green eyed people and pestering him todayâŚ
âHh- hHâinKshii!!â Another string of decorations fell down, and the Wandererâs shoulders noticeably slumped. Somehow, this small action was all that was needed for Nahida to put two and two together.Â
â...Oh.â She said, â...Still, you shouldâve just told me- I wouldnât have minded if there were fewer decorations! I want everyone to have a good time during the Sabzeruz festival- that includes you!âÂ
âŚThe Wanderer wasnât really sure what to say in response to that, so despite the look Nahida was giving him, he chose to say nothing at all.Â
Instead, he walked past her, absentmindedly patting her on the head as he went, heading towards his room. Nahida let him go.Â
~
âSay,â Aether said, a few months later, â-which plants are you allergic to, exactly?âÂ
The Wanderer, who, before this moment, had been laying on the ground having a fairly normal relaxing time, visibly stiffened.Â
â...Iâm a puppet, remember?â He deadpanned, âIâm not allergic to anything.âÂ
âHm, doubtful.â Aether said, âEspecially considering I have two eye-witness accounts stating otherwise.âÂ
Those fools had snitched on him? The Wanderer silently vowed revenge in his mind.Â
â...Ugh. Why does it even matter-â Today's date and how close it was to a certain other date suddenly sprung into his mind, unprompted, and he immediately shot up into a sitting position. âYou are not getting me in a flower crown for my birthday.âÂ
âI was thinking more along the lines of giving you your own personal Sabzeruz festival but-âÂ
âAbsolutely not.âÂ
â-it wouldnât exactly be great for the birthday guy to just sneeze all the decorations down, now would it?âÂ
The Wandererâs face flushed slightly, which severely downplayed the effects of the glare he leveled at the Traveler. Aether seemed to find this amusing if his smirk was any indication.Â
âIâll ask you again-â He said, â-which plants are you allergic to? âŚCâmon itâs an easy question- unless⌠do you not know?âÂ
The Wanderer⌠did not deny this. He didnât confirm it either, but Aether seemed to take his silence as an affirmative answer anyways.Â
âWell, that complicates things⌠I guess an easier question would be if youâve only reacted in Sumeru? I have some Inazuman plants we could use instead-âÂ
Aether rummaged through his bag- and then froze as the Wanderer suddenly reached out and grabbed a hold of his wrist, stopping him in his tracks.Â
âThereâs no need to do anything for my birthday.â The Wanderer said, narrowing his eyes as the glow in Aetherâs chest changed from blue to green. â...Donât you dare-âÂ
Aether silently raised an eyebrow at him, and then released a wave of dendro energy, causing plants to grow at their feet. The sakura branch heâd been trying to take out of his bag expanded, the petals overflowing from it.Â
The Wanderer immediately let go of Aetherâs wrist, activating his halo and shooting up into the air, seemingly in an attempt to get out of the pollenâs reach.Â
â...I take it by your reaction that plants from Inazuma are also a no-go?â Aether asked, crossing his arms as he stared up at the Wanderer, who seemed to realize that his reaction had inadvertently given him away.Â
Instead of attempting to deny it again however, he instead chose to stick his tongue out at him- and got a handful of flowers thrown at his face in response. Aether didnât even have the grace to look the slightest bit remorseful as the Wandererâs breath hitched-Â
âHhâXnTii!!â The Wanderer dropped by at least an inch as his halo flickered, not even getting through a second hitching breath before, âHihânNxtii!! Hehh- hHâxNtiu!!âÂ
His halo vanished completely- and it was only due to Aether catching him that he didnât end up slamming into the ground.Â
âLet gohH- go of mehH- hiHâKShhii!! âKshiu!!âÂ
âHmm- no.â Aether readjusted his hold on the Wanderer as the other started squirming, somehow completely unaffected by the gusts of anemo. âI think Iâll keep you here until we figure out a solution to this problem.âÂ
âIt wouldnât- wouldnât be a problem if- hHâKshyii!!âÂ
âOh that one was cute-âÂ
âShut up!âÂ
âWait, Iâve got it.â Aether said, âWeâll take you to the Simulanka, the plants there are all fake, after all.âÂ
âSure, whatever- hiHâiNkshii!! snf- can you let go of me now?âÂ
Aether obediently set the Wanderer down. The Wanderer immediately distanced himself from him, attempting to readjust his clothes- which was pointless as another sneeze sent them askew again. He pointedly ignored the way the Traveler laughed at him in response.Â
~
âI canât believe you convinced me to do this.â The Wanderer grumbled as a necklace of paper flowers was placed around his neck.Â
âHey, you said no flower crowns.â Aether said, âYou said nothing about flower necklaces.âÂ
âArenât those practically the same thing-â The Wanderer was cut off as Aether suddenly leaned closer, frowning.Â
âYou feel warmer than usualâŚâ He said, pressing the back of his hand against the Wandererâs cheek as the Wanderer avoided eye contact with him. âI know you vanished for a while yesterday, you didnât get into any trouble during that time, did you?âÂ
âTch.â The Wanderer knocked Aetherâs hand away from him. âThereâs nothing wrong with me.âÂ
âI didnât say that there was.â Aether looked over the Wandererâs appearance. âThough, now that you mention itâŚâÂ
Aether reached out and snapped his fingers in front of the Wandererâs face, summoning a flash of light. For a moment the Wandererâs expression screamed betrayal, before it twisted into something different altogether.Â
âWhy- hH⌠hiH- hEHâNxtTii!! HhâNxt!!âÂ
âI knew it.â Aether said, watching as the slightly red-tinted glow faded from the Wandererâs eyes- which were of course now glaring at him. âYouâve gotten yourself stuck with an elemental reaction again, havenât you?âÂ
â...Itâs none of your business.âÂ
âKinda is actually considering weâre in a world made out of paper and youâve just shown that youâre a potential fire hazard-âÂ
âI am not-â The Wanderer paused, thinking through his words, before mumbling, â...Donât worry about it. I can deal with it.âÂ
âNu-uh, absolutely not.â Aether said, âIâm not just gonna let you feel bad on your birthday. Câmere-âÂ
The Wanderer dodged backwards just before Aether could grab a hold of him. Aether froze for a moment, shocked, before narrowing his eyes at him.Â
âSo thatâs how you want to do this, huh?â He asked, âFine then.âÂ
Aether lunged at him, electro crackling over him to give him a speed boost as the Wanderer dodged out of the way again. The Wanderer turned on his heel, taking off running, but-Â
âGah!â The Wanderer ran right into Sethos, who immediately reached out and grabbed onto the Wandererâs arms to steady him.Â
âWoah there-â Sethos said, â...Whatâs going on? Kusanali sent me back here to check on you two since you were taking so longâŚâÂ
âItâs nothing.â The Wanderer hissed out- at the exact same time that Aether said;Â
âThe Wanderer is swirl-stuck again.âÂ
Sethos blinked, and the Wanderer glared over his shoulder at Aether, mentally calling him the rudest swears imaginable.Â
â...Swi- oh, thatâs the elemental thing Kusanali told me about, right?â Sethos asked, inspecting the Wanderer more closely. âYou do feel pretty warm⌠let me guess, pyro?âÂ
The Wanderer stared down at the ground, mumbling something under his breath that sounded like something along the lines of âis it really that noticeable?â. He pointedly did not actually answer Sethosâ question, so Aether decided to do it for him.Â
âPretty sure about it.â He said, âHold him still there, would you? He needs to get rid of it before he can go to the party-âÂ
âWait wait wait!â Sethos looked almost nervous, âUh, if I remember this correctly- well, I. Do not want to end up burnt-âÂ
âOh, donât worry about that, Iâve got it covered.â Aether said, standing behind the Wanderer, reaching around and placing his hand over the Wandererâs mouth and nose. â...Literally.âÂ
The Wanderer himself looked almost resigned, not bothering to try and squirm out of his position, but even so-Â
âIâm not going to sneeze.â He said, voice muffled by Aetherâs hand, âI donât even need to.âÂ
Sethos and Aether shared a Lookâ˘. The Wanderer realized just a few seconds too late what the two of them planned to do.Â
âWait, donât-âÂ
âHah-âÂ
âHeh-âÂ
âHihh- hHâkshiu!!â The Wandererâs body jolted forwards, and it was only due to Sethos and Aether holding him that he didnât double over. âHihâiKShhii!!âÂ
âLook at that, we barely did anything and heâs sneezing already.â Aether said, smirking. Sethos seemed to be having a hard time keeping himself from making a similar expression if the way his lips were twitching was any indication. Not that the Wanderer noticed.Â
âHehh⌠hH- HâiShHhiu!! hiHâIsHKii!!â Without being able to stifle- with the pyro energy still in him, it was kinda hard to stop. âHhâshKiu!! Hh- heHâinKshiu!! Ngh⌠hHâKSHii!! âKshiu!!âÂ
A few more sneezes tumbled out of him before Aether finally spoke up again.Â
âYou can let go of him now.â He said, pulling his own hand away as the Wandererâs breath caught on another hitch. âI donât sense the pyro energy anymore.âÂ
Sethos let go of the Wandererâs arms, and the Wanderer immediately backed away from both of them, putting his own hands over his mouth to catch the tail end of the sneeze fit heâd been forced into.Â
âHhâiKshii!! Hâeshii!! Hihh- hEHâiKshiu!!â The trees rustled with the breeze that got sent through them, and the Wanderer sniffled, rubbing his nose against his wrist.Â
â...Feeling better now?â Sethos asked, wincing as the Wanderer glared at him.Â
âYouâre both intolerable.âÂ
âWell,â Aether said, âYouâll have to tolerate our intolerableness for a bit longer. We still have a party to get to remember? Even if it is a rather small one.âÂ
âUgh, donât remind me.â The Wanderer muttered, âIâm only doing this cause Durin wanted to, okay?âÂ
