I'm going to do this literally whenever I go to Sälly Bëäütý Süpplý but I'm going to lift an acrylic nail kit and extra things for it.

Now WHY may you ask me? Well..

1. You can teach yourself how to give yourself acrylic nails so you don't have to go to a salon and get them done. Spend your boosting or just regular money on something else more expensive! Every basic acrylic set is like 30-35. Plus, you can customize them however way you want with what you can lift! I ordered a little nail filing drill from Wish to get the more real feel but you can get course buffers from Sällý's! And I know for a fact there is a 27 dollar odorless acrylic nail kit for beginners at that store.

2. You can OFFER YOUR SERVICES to your friends and make money! I live at uni and I have already told some of my friends I'm going to learn how to do acrylic nails so if they want acrylic nails or just a good mani/pedi, I will do it for cheap. Like full set for 20 or 15 for those I really love, good painted manicure and pedicure (no acrylic) for 10. I can make extra money around campus because I'm already bomb af at doing eyebrows and makeup and I'm basically going to run a bootleg salon.

3. You learn a valuable skill that will save you money for the rest of your life! This can be a hobby and even a passion if you love beauty stuff like I do! If you have the time to sit down in a salon which I know damn well is at least half an hour if they rush your nails, you have the time to actually learn how to do it for yourself and it will be so rewarding to see yourself making yourself more beautiful. There are tons of videos and tutorials online and if you lift all your supplies, you are golden! A free skill that will give you an opportunity to make money without having to steal a whole even more!

Not a bad haul for a quick trip to buy a pizza 😂

1) American skincare is terrible. Sephorà facemasks do absolutely nothing. Lüsh is somewhat better, but it requires already having decent skin. Tonymöly or any other Korean skincare brands are much better!!!

2) Getting rid of acne is a constant process. For spot treatment, I use clearasil with 10% benzoyl peroxide. For areas with a lot of acne I use differin gel. I have combination oily/normal skin if that helps. Anything with benzoyl peroxide will get rid of acne, anything more than 15% has the potential to dry out your skin badly. Use all treatments sparingly and be careful to only apply to specific areas.

3)Facemasks and acne treatments alone are not enough. Redness in acne can actually be caused from sun damage even if you(like me) spend most of your day in school/indoors. So, get a moisturizer with SPF 30 at least. You need to cleanse your face first, apply acne treatments, apply toner, and then moisturize. Once in the morning and once in the evening(acne treatments are sometimes daily, sometimes twice a day). Read the bottles and make sure you don’t overuse-this will dry out your skin.

4)Do not mix acne creams. I either use clearasil or differin gel once, this will dry out your skin a LOT.

5) There are luxury brands out there that are probably better(tatcha is one) so if you can lift your stuff there are plenty of other options out there! Those packages tend to be super bulky though so I don’t risk it.

6) This IS general advice, so I would consult a dermatologist before you buy anything. Check your insurance-some plans cover it, and if thy don’t, appointments aren’t crazy expensive if you find the right person.

1)Using acne treatments can give you dry spots, you can fix those by toning, moisturizing, and putting vaseline on top. Go to sleep, and it’ll be gone in the morning!

I’m adding in all basic supplies needed to lighten or color your hair! You can tweak this to your needs. As always, if you can’t find this in store, you can always scam!

Lightening powder/bleach

20 Volume developer

30 Volume developer

Wella T-18 toner

Hair coloring bowls (must measure ounces, plastic or glass)

Mini whisk (totally optional, this or the brush will be fine to mix the color/lightener with)

Gloves

Apron/Smock

Hair coloring brushes (the soft ones, not the cheap, hard bristled ones since these will tangle up your hair, the handle must be plastic!)

Tail comb brush

Kitchen scale (if you’re doing this professionally/extra precisely)

Hair clips (NOT METAL!)

Olaplex

Protein filler (will make sure your color spreads out evenly, equalized your porosity, etc)

Hair color

Hair color key (if you’re using hair color that comes in a tube)

Shampoo for colored/lightened hair

Conditioner for colored/lightened hair

Reparative hair masks

Curling hair masks (if you have curly hair, since this whole process will damage them)

Hair coloring/lightening tips:

Do not use anything metal on your hair while coloring or lightening it! Any mixture that includes developer in it will have a terrible reaction when it comes in contact with anything metallic. It can cause hair to dissolve.

Nothing more than 20 Volume developer should be used during coloring/lightening, unless you want an extreme amount of lift in one session (absolutely not recommended!). This WILL wreck your hair. It’s better to do many sessions a few days apart than to put your hair through hours of processing.

NEVER put processing hair under heat. Again, this will wreck your hair. This is only done by hairdressers that are tight on time/don’t care about your hair.

Always let the lightener process for its stated time on the package (or until you get your desired amount of lift).

Always cap your developer after using it. Exposure to air will decrease its strength.

Mixing two developers will result in a lower strength. Ex: Mixing 40 and 20 volume will result in 30 volume.

The more sessions to lighten in, the less yellow you will see.

Always do your roots last when lightening! These will lift the quickest since it has continual heat from your scalp.

You can mix in virgin olive oil into your hair color/lightener mixture to protect it a bit more.

Don’t have extremely dirty, oily hair when processing. The oil and dirt can cause the color to not be able to stick, therefore leaving you with patchy color.
