All lifters, whether baby or veteran, SHOULD know these rules to stay safe. Me being caught twice was a result from not following these. This is just advice!

Wear an outfit you are comfortable in, but that also looks presentable and “rich/classy”. Wear things that are suitable for the weather. DO NOT wear a big fat baggie fucking hoodie. DO NOT wear a whole black outfit.

Do NOT steal from your job. They WILL find out. Internal theft is more looked into than regular theft. Do NOT take chances like this.

ALWAYS check for cameras. Don’t listen to “if the screen in your JÇP Sëphörä is black then it means the cameras don’t work...” THIS got me caught. And it came from a good friend as well. ALWAYS assume there’s cameras watching you and someone is watching them.

Talk to SAs, ask questions if you WANT, but it’s not necessary. In some cases this makes you memorable. I don’t speak to SAs unless I must, not only because it’s out of my regular nature, but because I do believe it makes the SA look at you more (to see if you purchased what you asked for, etc.).

ALWAYS body conceal tools and booster bags! When I was caught at JÇPhora LP took out my booster bag (that’s in a pencil case) but didn’t open it. It was in a zippered pocket in my purse (I didn’t body it since I wasn’t going to steal anything with tags.) I am so lucky he didn’t open it.

Whenever you’ve got a lot of items, DUMP (if you’re able to). If you’re caught, dumping your previous items can turn what would be a felony into a misdemeanor.

DO NOT GET COCKY. BE AS INCONSPICUOUS AS YOU CAN. Meaning: be as invisible as you can.

Don’t hit the same store more than once in the same trip. Associates WILL remember you and call you out.

Don’t steal from small mom & pop shops.

Wait two weeks or more before going to the same mall/shop/center to lift. Try making small purchases in between your lifting trips at those shops. You can always return what you bought at another store.

Try to use a shopping bag to conceal in, not just your purse. Äëröpöstälë gives me bags whenever I ask for one to “put my jacket in”. They’re awesome bags to conceal in. Not only does this make it look like you spent money, but who normally thinks you’d conceal in shopping bag?

Always run away from LP if you can. This is better than a fine, charge, etc. I could’ve and should’ve ran when I was caught at Wälmärt, but I was with someone. Always good to run if it’s a stand alone store, not so much a mall.

Do not get greedy. I’m learning this now. You might want a big haul, with a nice big total, but are you really going to use those items you’re stealing? Are they really gonna sell? Remember, you don’t really need 23 palettes (unless you’re a MUA), you don’t need 9 eyeliners, etc. Please save yourself from greed and realize what you use and don’t use. Donate what you can. Recycle what you can. Don’t lift items just to have them.

Here are some things that are easy to steal and quick to sell! Also adding in how much they sell for.

Fenty gloss/balm for $10-12 (any shade)

Any PINK branded items $14-40

Bundle of VS/PINK panties $20-40

Stranger Things/Premium/Trendy PopSockets $10-15

PINK/VS Bras in common sizes $18-50

Any trendy branded (FILA, Champion, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.) clothing $20-50

AE Jeans $18-30

Any name brand skincare $10-30

MILK Cooling Sticks. You can bundle these ($30) or sell them individually ($15).

Lush. I heard this doesn’t really sell but I sold a twice used big tub of Ocean Salt for $25 so take it with a grain of salt.

Plain colored S’well bottles. I sold one S’well Traveler in a lavender color for $20 within hours.

Kankens. Don’t expect to get nearly as much as they retail for though. These sell for $30-55.

Vans/Converse in a size 6 have sold for me but I heard size 8 sells too.

okay so! i suffer of a lot of things, and depression is being one of these. and sometimes, I need to take care of myself.

so here’s what to lift! (just my opinion ofc, feel free to add your experiences/fav things to lift to make u feel better!)

1 ~ candles

i’m sooo obsessed with candles. whether they are perfumed or not, lift a few (best method for me is conceal in a blindspot in your bag i guess) and when you get home, light em up! you’ll instantly feel better

11~panties

i’m talking about cute panties. white, black, dark red panties. panties that make you feel sexy. panties that make you feel cute!! panties are easy to lift, imo. just conceal on your body in the fitting room,that’s what works best for me

111~ books

okay, i can’t really help you with how to lift books because like, i’ve never done it! but immerging yourself in a whole different universe usually works for me. if you don’t want to lift a book or you just can’t, maybe buy one from a good will store?

1v ~ body lotion

i have a few from lush. sleepy is one of my favorite, along with sympathy for the skin. lifting at lush isn’t always easy because of the SA’s but there are no cameras around there so just avoid them all lol

but putting good smelling lotion after a hot shower on your body is so, sooo relaxing

UPDATING

v~ skincare

whether it be masks or lotions, you can lift those at seph!œrâ oe lùs/h. i know some don’t really work but it’s always so soothing though… + masks are v easy to lift imho, just go, grab them, conceal in a blind spot, just b quick yknow

v1~ pajamas

currently there are some i’m craving for from another store, lol, i might go even BUY some (ikr??)… silky pajamas are the best!

v11~ chocolate or candies

or any sweets, really. always lift up my mood.

v111~ razors, blade, anything to shave

I know shaving is not mandatory at ALL, but sometimes it feels so good to just get in your bed with your legs aaaall shaved and moisturised

1x~ bullet journal

lift one of these at bærnesandnôbles and write your feelings down, draw some stuff, it’s your own bujô!

x~ makeup

obviously, it always makes you feel good when you feel prettier ;)
