Pretty much same canon interactions, i have a lil hc that allows op & drift the exist within the same body in near death experiences. So when Entrati shoots Keiran, Keir is able to channel himself and start the time loop without fully being there.

Essentially he stopped mid conversation with Lyon and went “hold that thought.” Then blips out of existence, starts the loop and comes back all within like a few seconds. “Sorry, my other self did something stupid, carry on.”

All while the 1999 timeline is happening Keir is wrangling the devils triad and trying to locate Tau with The Lotus and Loid. Keir is besties with Marie. He made out with Roathe.

When the hex quest is over, they swap. Keir trades with Keiran since it’s his turn in the dark refractory and Keir goes to 1999 to make a portal with the instructions from Roathe so they can have a direct way back and forth in the sanctum that also allows the hex to come to them. It took him all of a day, Roathe’s instructions were shockingly easy to follow.

General relationships of the au:

Keir: big brother. He doesn’t go far from Kerian when in the sanctum, he holds his ground against The Lotus when she gets a lil pushy about urgency and keeps an eye on Kerian because the kid will listen to him more than anyone else. Especially when Kerian tries to push through the memories to locate Tau. Neither eat or sleep a lot so they hold each other accountable. Has taken Keiran to Duviri during the joy spiral after experiencing what happened on Tau, first time in centuries they both laughed and smiled genuinely. Both are like “hurt my brother, I hurt you.”

Arthur: thats his dad, like Keiran was a wet kitten left in a cardboard box and Arthur folded immediately. Arthur “I’ve always wanted to settle down in a house with roses out front.” Nightingale. He skipped a few steps, he got the time traveling void eldritch child first. Did stab his sword through Keiran’s hand and felt sick to his stomach that he harmed a child(said child said it’s fine and that he’s had worse which made him more sick) Cooks simple food for him since he’s not used to eating the food from 99. Pizza made him almost throw up after and Arthur noticed Keiran doesn’t eat much, and that’s not gonna fly on his watch. Absolutely hates that a kid has seen multiple lifetimes of war and doesn’t know how to be a normal kid. Forces Keiran to wear a helmet and all protective gear when riding an atomicycle, he can drive one as a warframe but he’s too short when not and usually rides passenger with Arthur.

Eleanor: wine aunt. Painted the lotus symbol on the motorcycle helmet for Keiran. Has seen everything he’s lived through, shows him that painting and writing can help. They sit and draw or write, this also helped Eleanor process her own circumstances and experiences. Managed to pull a happy memory to the surface for Keiran before the Zariman, they both cried. Also hates that Keiran carries the world on his shoulders and pushes away being a child for the sake of helping anyone and everyone. Calls him Arthur 2.0 for that (Arthur hates it because he knows it’s true).

Aoi & Amir: besties, inseparable. Amir taught Keiran how to play video games, is a little stressed out because Keiran is getting real close to beating his high scores. Aoi loves sharing music and taught him how to dance and have fun. Also how to fold paper cranes, Keiran has a hundred so far. They play board games together. They started a Fables & Frontiers games just the three of them, Aoi as a druid and Kerian as a paladin, Amir is a very good game master. (Quincy joined half way through as a rouge and Eleanor as a mage). Keiran races Amir with Gauss Prime, they keep a time sheet, Keiran is in the lead by one millisecond. They talk about cool future stuff like the orbiter and strata relays and space.

Quincy: the cool older cousin. “Don’t tell his maj that I gave you this.” And it’s a efervon charge and a wad of cash. They get into trouble, Quincy convinces Keiran to do a lot of risky runs (which he thinks are fun) and sometimes it blows up in their faces. When it’s just the two of them, they talk honestly, Quincy drops his tough walls. A lot of the time it’s talking or complaining about random things. Quincy shows Keiran photography and they secretly go around Höllvania to shoot pics (Eleanor knows but chooses not to tell)

Lettie: wine aunt #2. Keiran helps her with medic runs, carries supplies for her when making rounds with the civilians. He likes to sit with her rats, and he tells her about his Kubrows and Kavats. Never in his life has he also been scolded so badly for getting a scrape. At first had no idea what she was saying but she eventually taught him Spanish.

Vel & Minerva: they have a parental eye on him too. He reminds them of Rusalka when she was younger. Minerva grilled at first him for information on Rusalka and Keiran felt bad that he didn’t know and couldn’t help as much as he wanted. (Keir did the isleweaver and told them when he and Kieran swapped). Vel taught Keiran how to play bar dice and loses to the kid every single time. Minerva makes him mocktails, she may be an alcoholic but she’s a responsible alcoholic.

Flare & Lizzie: “I meant worse as in worse than being seen as a freak, flare.” “Oh.” Lizzie of course loves Keiran and Keir, Flare was embarrassed when she called Keiran demon in front of everyone and Keiran was so unfazed. Lizzie also randomly dropping future comments around everyone, “we live in demon’s ship!” Or “blinky cube needs to be more nice to us, we help demon.” Keiran curb stomping viktor when he tried to interrupt Flare’s performance. Flare also teaching Keiran that being twisted by hate leads to bad things and to never let it take root. But also says “oh yeah no, fuck that guy, I’d hate the ground he’s buried in.” When Keiran told them about Ballas.

Kaya: friends, they argue about who’s older constantly, Keiran always whipping out he’s technically centuries old but Kaya saying she was born first. The trade Peely Pix and cringe from afar at Vel & Minerva.

The devils triad: they’re much closer to Keir but Marie is very sweet to Keiran and he likes her a lot. Lyon is also very kind, he likes to listen about the solstice festivals which Lyon is happy to share. Roathe is surprisingly very patient, he doesn’t interact alone with Keiran because he’s very aware of the kids trauma around orokin and if he does he keeps is short. The first time Keiran saw him after reliving his memories he freaked out, half because he saw Ballas again and half because he felt the lingering anger of the Uriel warframe. Roathe in a very roundabout way said he didn’t mean to trigger that and apologized. They both like Bird 3 and they both hate Ballas so they have a mutual understanding. The hex when they first arrived did not take well to Roathe and it was Keiran who stood up and explained yes he’s orokin but not the one who’s directly responsible for what happened to the Tenno and he’s on their side.

The Lotus: those are her children. Both. Keiran and Keir. Touch either of them and she’ll eat you. She’s also aware that sometimes she can’t be both commander and mother and often appreciates when Loid or Keir or another steps up and tells her to back off. She sometimes loses herself.
