My best friend, who has introduced me to Clair Obscur but then stopped playing it due to a lack of time, has picked it up again, and when I asked him about it, we had this conversation:
He: "I'm at this cliff region to find the stone to make the big guy swim."
Me (inwardly): Oh my god, he's at Stone Wave Cliffs, oh my god, oh god, oh my god
Me (outwardly): "Ah, I ... remember that region."
He: "These enemies with the big swords are SO annoying!"
Me: "Yeah, I remember fighting them once, and everybody apart from Gustave had died and ..." *my voice fades as I get Gustave dead wife flashbacks*
He: ...?
Me: "Uh, yeah, so I really ... recommend to play on! It's... a really good game..."
I was physically shaking, and it was so hard for me to hold back. We were having my birthday party today and went to eat out, but otherwise, I would've bullied him into playing "the cliff region" together with me. Because I'd love to be there when he fights lampmaster. (Though I suspect I'd have to fight tears the moment the lanterns go on, and then lose the fight when Gustave starts looking for a rock to throw at the Paintress).
