      snail party has been dead for many moons. but from its rotting corpse, the earth grew fertile and a forest grew.

mogli & the dirty sisters • Mogli (banjo + singing) stayed on the west coast after snailparty’s canadian tour and remains there to this day, tattooing and farming and drawing.

beyon / ephemerus / love hold let go / forestfire • Beyon (guitar + singing) based between Winlaw bc, and great falls Massachusetts. Mostly an visual artist now but also playing in a fear country band when she visits Halifax.

Filthy Liars • Sorrel (fiddle) and Jaymie’s (junk drums) emo boy band from the west coast.

bitterfucked • Feather’s (accordion) solo project for people who dont care about anything. 

Hex Partners • Sorrel and Elly’s (saw / junk drums) gloomy two piece instrumental about nightmares, bodies, and failures

Rakins / Eekum Seekum / Primary Stress / the official suckers • (junk drums / saw) glittery pop crust band Elly plays guitar and back up vox for / two piece female fronted crust metal band that just played their last show ever a few nights ago / Elly’s old folk punk band and solo project. a garbage eating rakin.

Alder'mn! • kaitlyn (cello) a real actual librarian who flailed their life more than once to come on tour.

Lvne  •  Lvne (saw) life flailer who played saw with us on american tour and continues to be wonderful to this day

traintrain •  traindrian (case sitter / life flailer) once dropped a full tub of blue berries because he heard a train'a'callin. also saved us many times when our bus died in the middle of winter with his mechanical knowhow.

The kakapo is a critically endangered species of large, flightless, nocturnal, ground-dwelling parrot of the super-family Strigopoidea endemic to New Zealand. It has finely blotched yellow-green plumage, a distinct facial disc of sensory, vibrissa-like feathers, a large grey beak, short legs, large feet, and wings and a tail of relatively short length.

The total known population is only 126 living individuals, as reported by the Kakapo Recovery programme, most of which have been given names.Because of Polynesian and European colonisation and the introduction of predators such as cats, rats, ferrets, and stoats, the kakapo was almost wiped out. Conservation efforts began in the 1890s, but they were not very successful until the implementation of the Kakapo Recovery plan in the 1980s. (x) 

There are ways you can help save the kakapo population through donations, adoptions, voluteering, becoming a supporter, or buying merchadise.
